This should be quite fun. Someone posts an anagram, and the person who solves it first gets to post the next anagram.
Example: teh phoefllwsi fo eht nrgi
the fellowship of the ring
I'll start: ni teh nlad fo odromr herew het hasodws ile.

And not only in dealing with that, hoom, that accursed tree-slayer that dwelt here, ROT there was a great inrush of those, burarum, those devileyed-blackhanded-bowlegged-TFILNTEDERAH-clawfingered-LUTOLEBLIDE-ODLOBRISHTYE, RIMOTAIME-CNISHADANO, hoom, well, since you are hasty folk and their full mean is as long us easy of torment, those vermin of orcs, and they came over the river had down from the north and all round the wood of Laurelindorenan which they could not get into, thanks to the lord and lady of lorien.'

I do think there might be some more errors in it than we corrected. (Like an N in stead of a T in 'thanks') I have tried all combinations of ROT, but I haven't found any words that could possibly fit in there.

It's from the two towers...the voice of saruman.

The window closed. They waited. Suddenly another voice spoke, low and melodious, its very sound an enchantment. Those who listened unwarily to that voice could seldom report the words that they heard; and if they did, they wondered, for little power remained in them. Mostly they remembered only that it was a delight to hear the voice speaking, all that it said seemed wise and reasonable, and desire awoke in them by swift agreement to seem wise themselves. When others spoke they seemed harsh and uncouth by contrast; and if they gainsaid the voice, anger was kindled in the hearts of those under the spell. For some the spell lasted only while the voice spoke to them, and when it spoke to another they smiled, as men do who see through a juggler's trick while others gape at it. For many the sound of the voice alone was enough to hold them enthralled; but for those whom it conquered the spell endured when they were far away, and ever they heard that soft voice whispering and urging them. But none were unmoved; none regected its pleas and its commands without an effort of mind and will, so long as its master had control of it.
well? it said now with gentle question. why must you disturb my rest? will you give me no peace at all by night or day? its tone was that of a kindly heart aggrieved by injuries undeserved.
they looked up, astonished, for they had heard no sound of its coming; and they saw an old man, swathed in a great cloak, the colour of which was not easy to tell, for it changed if they moved their eyes or if he stirred. His face was long, with a high forehead, he had deep darkling eyes, hard to fathom, though the look that they now bore was grave and benevolent, and a little weary. His hair and beard were white, but strands of black still showed about his lips and ears.
like yet unlike, muttered gimli.
but come noe, said the soft voice, two at least of you i know by name. Gandalf i know too well to have much hope that he seeks help or counsel here. But you, Theoden Lord of the Mark of Rohan, are declared by your noble devices, and still more by the fair countenance of the House of Eorl. O worthy son of Thengel the Thric-renowned! Why have you not come before, and as a friend?

Why have you not come
before, and as a friend? Much have I desired to see you, mightiest king of western lands, and especially in these latter years, to save you from the unwise and evil counsels that beset you! Is it yet too late? Despite the injuries that have been done to me, in which the men of Rohan, alas! have had some
part, still I would save you, and deliver you from the ruin that draws nigh inevitably, if you ride upon this road which you have taken. Indeed I alone can aid you now.’

Whee. Okay. I probably have some spelling error in there, but you know what I mean, no? : /

Okay. Well, for my sake and all of yours I'm doing a recap of past anagrams. This may take a few posts, but hey.

In the land of Mordor where the Shadows Lie

Build me an army worthy of Mordor

a long expected party

Farewell to Lorien

Ai! Ai! A Balrog is come!

Go back to the shadow!

out of the depths came his last wail "PRECIOUS," and he was gone.

The storm has burst at last

Tom Bombadil

I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

Shagrat and Gorbag

'Minas Morgul the tower of the Moon'

speak friend and enter

The Ring is trying to get back to it's master Frodo, it wants to be found.

This is the hour we draw swords together!

the choices of master samwise

The Lay of Luthien

Tar-Palantir the last good king of Numenor!

The Pyre of Denethor

Ai! laurie lantar lassi surinen.

Seven for the dwarf-lords in their halls of stone.

In place of a Dark Lord you would have a queen! Not dark, but beautiful and terrible as the dawn!

Shall I describe it to you? Or would you like me to find you a box.

It is a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door.

If in doubt, meriadoc, always follow your nose!

Fly, you fools!

I have not passed through fire and death to bandy words with a witless worm!

the cold hard lands, they bites our hands, they gnaws our feet!

i think we may have made a mistake leaving the shire, pippin

Nine there were, yet eight are here. Tell me where is Gandalf, for I much desire to speak with him.

I understand now. Put it away! I am sorry: sorry you have come in for this burden.

This is Sting. You've seen it before.

if you don't keep you're feet, there is no knowing where will be swept of to.

No one tosses a dwarf!

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve!

I aint been dropping no eves, sir!

What news of the outside world? Tell me everything

May the Shire live forever unwithered!

So that is the king of rohan!

Now here comes the story of nine-fingered Frodo and the ring of doom.

Awake! The shadow is gone and all darkness is awashed clean!

death! ride, ride to ruin and the world's ending

He drew a deep breath. 'Well, I'm back,' he said

The Return of the Fellowship of Ring to The Two Towers!

Renewed shall blade that was broken: the crownless again shall be king.

They come in pints?

Mourn not overmuch! Mighty was the fallen, meet was his ending. When his mound is raised women then shall weep. War now calls us.

The grey company passed on into the darkness of the storms of mordor and were lost to mortal sight; but the dead followed them.

Sauron has regained much of his former strength.
He cannot yet take physical form, but his spirit has lost none of its potency.
concealed within his fortress, the lord of Mordor sees all.
His gaze precise could, shadow, heart and flesh.
You know of what I speak, Gandalf.
A great eye, lidless, wreathed in flame.

Men of Rohan! Are there no leeches among you? She is hurt, to the death maybe, but I deem that she yet lives

I come back to you now at the turn of the tide!

The wars of morgoth and the noldor in the west region of middle-earth known as beleriand, when feanor was slain by the valaraukar

The marching stones faded slowly from sight, but still beyond them, blacker than the gloom, brooded the vast crouching shadow of the Dwimorberg

He lies nearby in this house, and I will go to him," said Gandalf. "Eomer shall stay here for a while. But do not speak yet of war or woe, until you are made whole again. Great gladness it is to see you awake again to health and hope. So valiant a lady!"

By Elbereth and Luthien the fair, you shall have neither the ring nor me!

"I am not a treeroot, " he said, "nor a bag, but a bruised Hobbit. The least you can do in amends is to tell me what is afoot."

Of the fifth battle: Nirnaeth Arnoediad, where Fingon, High King of the Noldor fell.

don't follow the lights!

The longest of all the lays of Beleriand; Narn I Hon Húrin

Then all at once there was a tremendous stir. Trumpets blared and the walls of Isengard echoed

"But no true man nor elf yet free would ever speak that blasphemy, and Beren muttered: "Who is Thu to hinder work that is to do? Him we serve not, nor to him we owe obeisance, and we now would go."

And Rose drew him in, and set him in his chair, and put little Elanor upon his lap. He drew a deep breath. "Well, I'm back," he said.

hey dol! merry dol! ring a dong dillo!
ring a dong! Hop along! Fal lal the willow!
tom bom, jolly tom, tom bombadillo!

'The end will not be long,' said the king. 'But I will not end here taken like an old badger in a trap.

Radagast the bird tamer. Radagast the simple. Radagast the fool.

Death you can give me earned or unearned; but the names I will not take from you of baseborn, nor spy, nor thrall. By the ring of Fålagund, that he gave to Barahir, my father on the battlefield of the North; my house has not earned such names from any elf, be he king or no.

The dragon is withered, His bones are now crumbled;
His armour is shivered, His splendour is humbled!
Though sword shall be rusted,
And throne and crown perish.

You have grown, Halfling. Yes, you have grown very much. You are wise and cruel. You have robbed my revenge of sweetness, and now I must go hence on bitterness, on debt to your mercy. I hate it and you.

Ere iron was found or tree was hewn,
When young was mountain under moon;
Ere ring was made or wrought was woe
It walked the forests long ago

'so you have yet another of these imps with you!' he cried.
'what use you find in them I cannot guess; but to send them as spies into mordor is beyond even your accustomed folly.
Still, I thank him, for it is plain that this brat at least has seen these tokens before and it would be vain for you to deny them now.'

I thank you Gimli son of Gloin I did not know that you were with us in the sortie. But oft the unbidden guest proves the best company

Lotho never meant things to come to this pass. He has been a wicked fool, but he's caught now.

Old fool! Old fool! This is my hour. Do you not know Death when you see it? Die now and curse in vain!
~Lord of the Nazgul

Beren now, he never throught he was going to get that silmaril from the iron crown in Thangorodrim, and yet he did, and that was a worse place and a blacker danger than ours.

Yea, I will drink thy blood gladly, that so I may forget the blood of Beleg; my master, and the blood of Brandir slain unjustly. I will slay thee swiftly.

Go at once! Ever since that night in Bree we have been a nusiance to you. But it is the way of my people to use light words at such times and less than they mean.

And then we have our long one I just posted. So yep.
