Aragorn's too old for me.. He's like 40 something in real life and around 70-80 years in the movie... in my book, he's like old enough to be my own father.... sorry... but I think he's kinda cool anyways.

All right... the fifth in my list would be *sound of the timpani thumping majestically* Gandalf.. for his wisdom and grandfatherly appeal... thank you... (I forgot how much I admire the character... I do so love Gandalf in the book, and I'm quite fond of him on screen...)

He's still one of the best fighters in LotR, that cannot be denied.

yeh, i thought the whole marching of the ents aspect was rushed, like treebeard was against war and then he's suddenly up for it - no discussions. it was more explored and complex in the book.

exactaly and the big change that i hated the most in the book is how in the end frodo went to gondor....... it made farimer (sry i can't spell 4 beans) look like the bad guy ..... (even though we all know he isn't) ... it makes him look selfish .....and then they cut shelob out of the end .... i guess to make the 3rd one longer???

well.... first of all, in the books the entmoot deicded to storm isengard in the first place. second, its soo unrealistic that a) about ten ents are at the entmoot and 1000 attack isengard, and b) that treebeard didnt know about all the clear cutting... i mean, hello?? he hasnt been that asleep!!

lol, sorry, i get to into these things sometimes... i love that movie a ton, but, when it comes down to it, im a purist! which is a scary thought. lol

oh... about faramir... i loved his change, i didnt think he seemed like the bad guy at all... in that area i am not a purist, actually i dont think it diverted his character that much. but i dont have time to argue this lol, i did it too often when ttt first came out :grin:
