When it comes to beauty and romance, Arwen is the clear winner, but Eowyn wins at being the cutest, and probably the most fun. If I were Aragorn, I would choose Arwen.

However, I'm very glad that Gríma Wormtongue didn't get Eowyn. ;)

ummm why is Eowyn a tramp? she backed off didnt she? she didnt push her luck when she very easily could have tried to take advantage......so she fell for a guy she shouldnt......thats no ones fault........the question isnt did she fall for him, but more, did she act on that?........and she didnt......so id say she was very honourable about the whole thing

That's not the way I saw it.
When Aragorn comes back after being dead she had compltely forgotten about his commitments. She would have rushed up to him, had Legolas not given him the Evenstar. She met him like a day before yet she was mourning his passing. Kind of fake if you catch my drift, unless of course she found herself too attracted to him to resist.

She was not able to resist, and in that setting, even flirting is serious stuff. But I'll back off, she isn't a tramp. But I still think that she should back off a little. Just because his love is leaving for Valinor doesn't meen that he wants another relationship at th emoment.

I have to agree with Catz's rather eloquent comments. Though I'll just quickly add by the time everyone was at Helms Deep she had known him for longer than a day. They spent atleast one night on the road to helms deep, possibly more. There is nothing to say they weren't in Edoras for atleast a night. Just 'caused they don't show it, doesn't mean it hasn't happened....

as far as the poll goes I choose Arwen; but I don't see Eowyn as a floozy either. Haven't you ever felt something for someone who was already taken??? Sometimes when they showed Aragorn looking at her I couldn't tell if he was thinking:
"Hey, you are the back up plan" or " Sorry, ain't gonna happen!"
I think Eowyn doesn't want to be a fool and pursue him when she knows that he loves someone else. The scene where Legolas gives him his necklace is a good reality check for her.

I feel kinda sorry for Eowyn, but I can't help agreeing with Catz. Look, Aragorn has NOTHING, kazilch, no ties at all to help the Rohirrim, he could just say; "Hey, my loyalty is only to the men of Gondor, not some race of men who're obsessed with horses!" but he didn't. Score one for Aragorn in Eowyn's eyes. He's darn handsome! Score 2! He's everything *cough* a Man should be! Score 3! Now, as this is an 'I love' forum, I decided to address the theme of 'rattle'. What is 'rattle', I hear you cry? Well, rattle is basically a polite (and inconspicuous) way of saying that one finds a particular female form in the immediate vicinity, to be pleasing to the eye lol ;) (ahhh, how to explain it on a family orientated board?)... It is derived from the non-sensicle ramblings of a workbuddy of mine.
Now, I am of the opinion that there is no rattle in the LOTR films *as such* (as rattle was originally intended as 'stunning' beauty) but I wondered what everyone else thought?
Dont get me wrong, Liv and Miranda have their respective charms... but give me Devon, Gauge or Jennifer Aniston anyday ;)

I picked Arwen, but Cate and Miranda are close behind. If you ignore all the disturbing changes in her character, I still think Liv is the most beautiful, although I think she looks more beautiful as arwen then on some pictures I've seen from other movies he played in. Miranda is cute. I just love her smile :blush: Cate has a strangy kinda beauty. And also I think she prettier when she not wearing make up and all, then after she turned into Galadriel. :elfqueen:

PJ wanted to make Arwen a warrior-princess... come on admit how terrible that would have been! The beautiful dreams Aragorn has of Arwen are a much better way of introducing her into the story without ruining her character too much :grin: in fact I watched TTT again yesterday and started to really like Liv as Arwen. She does a good job with the elvish and is quite pretty. And I love the flashforward scene! It's really sad and beautiful
