yes there is a pattern etched into the blades of Legolas' fighting knives.....its not script, just an art noveau type pattern

Yeah, if you look closely you can see the patterns - not really what I'd call Elvish, but nice all the same!

Looks kinda like the pattern on Sting w/o the elvish.

It's probably a pattern of a similar style to that of the Lothlorien bow. ;)
