I would've cast everyone as they are now except maybe arwen. i don't know who i'd have cast instead but she just annoys me, it isn't the fact that her dad's famous and she's using it to her advantage (wouldn't you???!!!) there's just something about her (like adam from u2.....sorry to drag that up again!!)

Liv...well, i'm pretty well documented on that subject. Haldir was miscast. i think....just didn't cut it as an Elf...an almost...etherial creature...a creature of light. Too beefy looking for an Elf if you ask me.

to be honest, i think it would have been a better choice to have Natalie Portman playing Arwen, and liv playing Queen Armidala....Portman is just as good (in fact better) looking than Liv, and she has a core of steel to her, a strength that Liv simply doesnt show, and it would have been nice to see her play against a real actor like Viggo, instead of trying to bolster a teen heartthrob type thru his debut...(yep....you guessed it lol ....not a Hayden Christianson fan at all lol )
as for the rest, im pretty happy.....and i still cant figure out why Craig Parker looks so porky as Haldir, when in fact hes quite slender????!!!!:huh:

As far as "The Nine" go... I think he did a very good job in choosing the cast. Frodo and Gandalf are just as i imagined them from the book.

Hmmm...gandalf was too friendly for me...i imagined him a bit more stern...until the ring is destroyed that is. I think a big thing in the book is how frodo saw gandalf as all happy and laughing when he returned, but he's already too jolly! The effect won't be the same... :mmmm: ;)
