I think it's pretty normal that she's at Aragorn's crowning. That's a great article BTW. I cannot wait.

STICKLEBATS! IS IT TRUE!? WOWNESS!!
MUST SEE ROTK!!!! AAIIIII!
They're going to show Eowyn and Faramir's wedding!! But what's this about Faramir being "filled with Orc arrows"? Hmmm...me senses Change. *frowns* He had only ONE arrow to my knowledge, a Southron arrow. Hmmm.
But a very WOW article!! *tries to imagine Byzantine Gondorians* *not successful* lol

Normal that Arwen's at the coronation? Well, maybe if you haven't read the book. Still, that's an obvious place to compress things. The denoument is really drawn out in the book (not that that's a bad thing). It's pretty clear the writer of that piece doesn't have a clue how the story actually goes - Minas Tirith will fall, he says? Ooooookay.

I might be totally wrong here, but I wonder if Faramir being like a puncushion-full-of-arrows is not meant to be a sort of parallel to Boromir. It took three arrows through the chest to kill Boromir. Maybe PJ and Co thought that the audience would think that Faramir was a wimp if he got felled by a single arrow. It also sounds like it wll be a dramatic moment in the film, and will give Denethor added reason for thinking that his surviving son is doomed.
And it will make Faramir's later recovery all the more dramatic later, and gives him more sympathy, especially after the roasting he nearly gets from his not-so-loving father. [I wonder if Aragorn is going to to the Houses of Healing, or whether Faramir and Eowyn will recover on their own].
In the context of the film, it makes sense for Arwen be at Aragorn's coronation. She's been waiting for this for what - around 40 years? She has been the one who has had faith in Aragorn, when even Aragorn didn't believe in himself, who has encouraged him, stood by him, even defied her father for him. It is her moment as much as it is Aragorn's. It is right that she should be there.

Didn't he say he was exagerating and that he really only saw two arrows in Faramir? I think he did.
Ooo. I loved the paragraphs about David and Miranda's kissing scene at the wedding and all the takes they did. I am printing it out so I can read it over and over, it was so sexy. :naughty: lol

The Faramir/Eowyn wedding scene sounds wonderful, doesn't it? Both romantic and sensual. I hope like hell it makes the final cut of ROTK!

I did read the book, but this isn't an exact remake of the book. If you follow the Arwen storyline in the movie, then you can see that it is quite normal that she'll attend to such an important event in Aragorn's live. People who see the movie wouldn't get why she wasn't at the coronation if they left that out.
