Faramir probably helped but Gollum had to betray Frodo, otherwise the plot of Tolkein's story would have been thrown off.lol

You know Green Hand Guy, I've wondered why they changed the color of Gollums eyes.. In FotR they were a Brownish-yellow color.. Then in TTT they were all of a sudden Blue.. they should have done the eyes like Tolkien says to do them. Gollum was talking to himself. Sméagol was holding a debate with some other thought that used the same voice but made it squeak and hiss. A pale light and a green light alternated in his eyes as he spoke.

Its not like he's all evil. I mean Frodo did lead him into Faramir's trap. Though it did save his life. Poor guy, he's just got major problems after living alone with a poisoned mind for 300 years.

No, Gollum is all evil. Thats the point, the difference between Gollum and Smeagol. Yeah I know he does, and that it's mostly the ring's fault, but come ON, two seconds after he SAW the ring he was committing murder... plenty of other people just SEE the ring without being IMMEDIATELY corrupted.

Nah, Bilbo never stole the ring... it abandoned Gollum of its own volition. Bilbo just found it. Finders keepers, losers weepers ;) On top of that, Gollum is the real thief, stealing it from Deagol ;)

What I mean is some pple who like Aragorn may not fancy Legolas because of this kinda rivalry thing like who's hotter, and vice versa. Like you end up arguing: "Hey whats so good abt that guy with greasy hair compared to Legolas with those luscious locks of his." or "Legolas is such a pansy elf compared to charming and rugged Aragorn (My heart hurts to say this)" Don't I know it, it always happens between my friend (aragorn fan) and I. I am glad there are places here for people who like and pity poor ikle Gollum. Even if he is ugly, cruel, heartless, and corrupt. It wan't his fault. It was the ring. And if it wasn't for him, ME would have fallen to Sauron.
