bleu
the rags he bore were a faded bleu,
his cheeks a ruddy shade of rouge.
his love torn through embers of golden hair,
the ashes washed away in his mind.
his ocean of lavender drowned the stars,
his blood on his pilgrims kept him warm.
the jewels in his face dripped diamonds,
his silver sharpening gong rang bleu.
his feathers were beige with evil talons,
the silent sound of his silk flew nearer.
his sweet, green fruit was ripe,
his smell was generous.
the coming of his life came to me,
his reaching need escaped his mouth.
his swelling need crawled under my skin,
the hardness of his bleu drew me nearer.
his memory made pale as he released the dove,
his pure loss of birth gave his release of love.
the beauty he bore, a faded shade of bleu,
his lips, a ruddy rouge.
his love, complete in his crown,
the ashes, a loss for which he wept.
his ocean, sparkling with lavender stars,
his blood, licked away from his soft collar.
the new life ran after me as I flew,
torn from the grass,
among the stars,
over the water,
and the wind bleu.
the rags he bore were a faded bleu,
his cheeks a ruddy shade of rouge.
his love torn through embers of golden hair,
the ashes washed away in his mind.
his ocean of lavender drowned the stars,
