PC game War In Middle Earth

Question, if anyone may have the answer too, a game titled war in middle earth came out about 12 to 15 years ago, and there are certain items that can be found, i have visited many sites and have more or less found where all items can be found, but i do not know that are the purposs for all the items, for example the coil of rope and the staff in the old forest??? if anyone has info about this plz post the info or link to where the info can be found, many thanks to all that help.
