Warg Riders

I saw some of the Medallions Weta are releasing voer the next few years. Now one of them has a goblin mounted on a Warg on it. Does this mean we will see them in the film.

All the other medallions have images or such from the actual movie. So birthing of Uruk-hai etc.............

It's too bad we didn't get to see the Wargs in the FotR. We would have, if they would have included that awesome seen in Hollin when the Fellowship is surrounded by them and Gandalf works his fiery magic.

Ah yes that would have been a clssic, could have been quite creepy, the silence adn the occasional eye glittering in th enight. Then the cachophany of howls etc. I wish they had put that in and cut moria a little......maybe.

I agree...soz fans, but moria was a tad overdone. I mean, they even mentioned the 'long, dark of moria'. What much can happen for MOST of the time in the LONG, DARK OF MORIA is beyond me, and obviously beyond PJ, cos they had to invent the stairs sequence. Did it annoy anyone else that when they were editing out the bit of the book they didn't want to use, they cucked away perfectly good stuff and MADE UP NEW STUFF!!! I mean, you think they would have tried to keep as much in as possible! verymad

I hope we get to see wargs, they are...quite important in the story...plus it would be soooooo comicl to see the orcs on them! roflmao - he's so cute! Plus, thanx guys for - mecry

WEll looks like this rumour is getting solid. Games Worshop ahve previewed their figures for TTT. Including Wargriders, Uruk-hai boltthrowers, etc..........

Hmmm well bolt throwers were used in times passed in battles. The romans used them I believe. Basically its a big bow mounted on wheels. Fires a bit pointy stick at ranks of troops. Elf kebab anyone :-)

I thought at the beginning of the film the archers ran their arrows along the fire on the ground to get them flaming :flamer: but there were also larger arrows being shot from big machines... :mmmm: :archer:

On topic...does anyone think that the same sort of wargs that are encountered in the Hobbit would actually LET orcs ride on them? They seemed too up themselves to be humiliated in such a way. :huh: :dragon:

I just saw a lvery small pic of a warg ( it was at Imladris, but considering how fast news comes in here we probably have it already ;) )!

I'm guessing by the picture the Wargs are going to be very scary in the movies, but not very much like wolves.

They're actually rather feline! :o (I can officially reply now that someone on Torn kind of confirmed this.)

They're almost an orange color, and I'm pretty sure I detected some stripes.... I think the only pictures of them are the toys right now.
