Okay Winyaél, as the avatar images are taken from the paintings in the Art Gallery they are all under their different artists and mixed in with the others.

I've gone through the Gallery rooting them out, and I'll give you the artist's name, and what page the image is on if the artist has more than one page of images.

Anke-Katrin Eissman
Pg 1 – images 3 & 10
Pg 2 – image 11
Pg 3 – images 1,3,4, 10, 12
Pg 4 – images 4, 7, 11, 15

John Howe
Pg1 – image 5 Pg 3 – image 1

Tim Kirk
Images – 3, 4, 6

Alan Lee
Pg 1 – images 2, 9, 14
Pg 2 – images 8 & 15
Pg 3 – images 2, 6, 16
Pg 4 – images 5 & 8
Pg 5 – images 2, 16, 20

Ted Nasmith
Pg 1 – images 1, 10, 12, 15
Pg 2 – images 18 & 19
Pg 3 – image 15

Carol Emry Phonix
Image 3

Shirley Roman
Image 4

Tolkien Pg 9 – image 3

That’s as far as I know, there may be others that I have missed, but that should give you and idea, they are really great pictures!
Hope that helps

Wow!

I'm impressed!:elfeek:

You really went through the gallery and ferreted all that out!

Jeez, ya think that with your rather extensive knowledge of our Art Gallery you might be interested in working with Coodron and help me update our avatars? hmmmm?

Wow thanks Nessa! That was helpful. Thanks for your time.

Hmm, are you thinking of getting new pictures for the avatars?

A pleasure Winyaél, glad I could be of assistance.

Yes we are going to add to Avatars we have already using the other paintings in the Art Gallery. There should be a nice selection of Avatars in all the post count catergories when we are done

would that mean that we have more selections on the chapter we're on? :)

Lemmme see, you are on Conspiracy Unmasked....yes, yours has been added to....Buckland Ferry is a new Avatar....unfortunatly most of the paintings in Gallery are of scenes that happen later on on the story...though there are some nice ones of the Old Forest,Bree and Weathertop.

If anyone is intrested, I can post the referances to the updated Avatar paintings, I'll do that later on today.

Question: How many posts per chapter until a person changes chapter status?
I know how many it takes for Avatars, but how about the chapter a person is on?

Same same......

We've matched up the avatars and book titles so that when you reach that particular chapter in the book, you should have access to avatars with paintings that relate to that particular chapter, plus all of the previous chapters.

We thought it would be a neat way to go on a journey through ME!

Have fun!

I LOVE the avatars, Illu. What an original idea! They look really great, and also encourage people to post, which is an added bonus.

Okay....
Here's the reference list that I promised about five days ago....lol
Sorry about the delay, sorry about the delay, I had to go through the Gallery to check everything again, because the list I had with the Artists on had both Portrait and Landscape paintings on it, as I routed both sets out all together, until Illu chaned his mind and told me he only wanted portraits, and I deleted the names and refs from the just portraits list before copying it, and I couldn't rember which was which. Anyway, enough of my yapping here are the refs:

Ingar Edelfeld Image(s) 2, 7
Anke-Katrin Image(s) 27, 36, 44, 47, 64, 80
Roger Garland Image(s) 1, 4, 7
John Howe Image(s) 17, 25, 31
Timothy Ide Image(s) 2, 3
Tim Kirik Image(s) 2, 8, 10, 12
Alan Lee Image(s) 13, 16, 18, 21, 23, 24, 38, 39, 48, 52, 57, 58, 64, 67, 73, 84, 103, 104, 110
Angus McBride Image(s) 3, 4
Ted Nasmith Image(s) 50, 53, 59, 85, 93,
Carol Emery Phoenix Image(s) 4
Shirley Roman Image(s) 5, 6
Iris J Scadden Image(s) 3
Tolkien Image(s) 21

Note: the list I made up earlier on in this thread was based on the thumbnail images you see when you clic on the Artists name in the Gallery - THIS reference list is based on the drop-down list that you get underneath the actual painting when you click on a thumbnail.

E.g. Say you click on John Howe, you get a page of thumbnail Images come up, and at the bottom it says page 1, and then there is page 2 etc if you click on the first (or any) thumbnail the larger image come up and underneath that is the drop down list:
1) Ambush in Ithilien
2)Ancalagon and Ship Duel
3) Seige of Angband
etc etc.....

That is the list that this set of references goes by.

I hope you enjoy looking through the Avatar Paintings, they really do look fantasitc larger size!
