Looks like she vamoosed before you could get a word in edgeways!! well, piercings. All very well and good, but I saw something that made me cringe. My sister's girlfriend had her tongue pierced. It was swolen for a day or two and then went down. After a week, the swelling came up again and her tongue nearly blocked her airway. After being taken to emergency, and being checked, they found that the tongue hadn't healed properly and had become infected. She had to have a part of her tongue removed....quite disgusting.

So how are you and Tiri getting along Las? She seems like a nice girl!

Anywho, on the other side of town, in defense of piercing for all you that may be put off by the prospect of removing a chunk of your tongue, that kind of thing is very rare, and if you take good care of them and follow the directions of the piercer, most piercings will heal well and fast and look good (and come in handy :naughty: ) for years to come! :grin: Hey, this gives me an idea...:ponders:

Actually at first I thought that someone had weasled it into this site and I got it through a forum e-mail or something, though I can't be sure. I told Illu about it; he didn't know for sure either. I think I figured it out, though...I got an e-mail from a friend (oneof those cumbersome forwards, actually) I haven't spoken to in forever a few days ago, and I think it could have been in that. But like I said, nothing's for sure.

I had to activate a firewall in my internet connection, and then go through a bunch of steps to erase the worm from my system. I guess it gets in to the back-up systems on a PC, so to get rid of it you have to deactivate the "Restore" something or other, LiveUpdate your virus definitions online (I have Norton AntiVirus), then go into your sytem and delete the file from your hard drive. There's a whole site online, provided by Symantec, about how to do it. If anyone needs it I can look it up.

In his case, tho, he can't stay logged on. His computer shuts down in a matter of minutes so I don't know how he is going to go thru those steps

Do you mean logged on to the internet, or just logged on to his system? Because mine could sit for hours running the screensaver just fine, but if I'd try to go online, it would shut down after anywhere from 2 minutes to an hour. I think that the first key is to activate the firewall thing in your internet connection, assuming he has it. I can tell you how, but unfortunately work is calling me (lots of frolicking to do ;) ) and I've gotta go! If you're going to be online later, I'll see you then!
