You guys knows the song "The Missing" on the TT soundtrack right? I have a few questions.

1. That song seems to be missing from the soundtrack! Does anyone know why? Or am I just not hearing it?

2. and if it's not on the soundtrack, why was it in the little soundtrack book?

3. the song strikes me as being about Eowyn. Anyone think it is too?

I think it is about Arwen because of how she is in the Two Towers, it almost seems like she is not going to marry Aragorn.

I think it is track 8 because someone else said it is in Old English; I know it's not 14 because I think that is Sindarin. I have not heard it yet either; I have found the Ents and Gollums Song (well its obvious where Gollum's Song is lol ) so I think it must be in 8.

hehe, I've just realised that it's not missing from this thread! read my sig! lol

Thanks! but how can it be about Arwen? It talks of her doing chores, and I seriously don't think she would do any. And moors? Rohan. But anyway, thanks!

Oh it could be the bit when Eowyn finds out Aragorn is dead, because there is singing then.

I've wondered about that, too. I got the specail edition version of the soundtrack (not the internet only version). "The Missing" and "The Ents" are listed in the booklet (at least the words to them are) but I have not heard them. Are they just mixed into certain tracks, or what?

The Ents is at the end of number 17 (thats the one that begins with Haldir dying so its my favourite track! :) ) You can hear the first three lines of the Ents but after that its difficult (well for me at least) to make out what the words are. I think it does half of the words first (which start as soon as Treebeard discovers the dead trees) and then it goes to Osgiliath and the nazgul bit, and then I think it goes to Helm's Deep (but only for a very little time) and track 17 finishes with the last half of the Ents while the ents storm Isengard.

As for the Missing, I still don't know where that is and I think it could be in 14, but in another forum someone said that 14 was Sindarin and 8 was Old English. Though the Missing words are definately about Arwen, not Eowyn.

I was watching the film again today and trying to memorise which bit of music came from where! lol
