I've been randomly writing haiku poems. Here are some of my favorite ones. Join in anyone.

"I must destroy it"
Frodo took the Ring,
Then he flushed it down.

"Balrog!" Gandalf cried.
"The flame will not avail you!"
He approached him. *Poke*

The fierce Balrog came.
Down, down, down, Gandalf fell.
"I'm flying, Leo!"*

*Yes, that was a reference to Titanic.

I made a ton of haikus and put them into the story of the Lord of the Rings. Not all of them are good, and it's not totally finished yet, but here's the order I have it in so far.....(sorry for the repetitions)
Also, is 'fire' one or two syllables?


Power to rule All
What has come of Middle Earth?
A great Evil spreads.....

Three Rings for Elf-Kings
Seven for the Dwarf-Lords
Nine for Mortal Men

One Ring to rule them
Made by the Dark Lord, Sauron
Wanting to rule All

A band of pure gold
Mixed with Sauron's evil will.
Dominate at hand

Frodo, Ring-Bearer
With perilous roads ahead
Hopes to return home

Sam, his gardener
Joins him on his long journey
Forever with him

Merry with Pippin
They meet Frodo and Sam
And follow them on

Quickly staggering
The Hobbits run from Wraiths
To the Inn of Bree

Prancing Pony Inn
They encounter whome? Strider
In the end, a friend

To the House of Elrond
Go the company of five
The small ones want food

Fire burning brightly (fire burning bright if fire is 2)
Frodo quickly puts it out
Wraiths come to attack

Temptation to wear
To vanish out of their sight
Frodo slips on Ring

Stabbed by Morgul blade
Poison spreading within him
He'll become one of them

Race against seven
Arwen crosses the River
Challenging Nazgul

Sudden water rush
Horse forms in water drown Wraiths
Safety once again

Tention rising up
What now? Frodo must decide....

Announces the Fellowship
Journey, journey on!

To free Middle Earth

Are Elvin-Rulers

What will you see? The present?
The past? The future?.....

What has come of it?
Boromir attacks Frodo
The Fellowship breaks

Captured by Uruks
Merry and Pip may be lost
Can the three save them?

Great honour he has
With Aragorn at his side
Boromir has died

Frodo and Samwise
Off to Mordor all alone
Fate in their own hands

My friend and I had the 'fire' conversation- thought it was two syllables too. My friend thought it was one, soI looked it up. According to dictionary.com, it has only one. But great job anyway!!

Bred between goblins and orcs
A hideous race.

With his Queen, Arwen

The truth is revealed
What really is Bilbo's ring?

Kide in the forest
No one will know you're here
Unless they see you

Waking in dim light
A bare hand with a long knife
Wants to cut his throat

Well? What must I do?

What a clumsy thing!
But helped he did in the end

One must take the Ring
And cast it in the fire chasm
From whence it was made

How many syllables does Eowyn have? I always took it for three [E-o-wyn]. Or have I been pronouncing wrong all these years? :grin:
