Any of you guys read David Eddings?

Of course, there is no author or epic that can supercede my passion for Tolkien but this guy ain't bad ...

Eddings penned two sagas that I really enjoy. They are the Belgariad and the Malloreon. Although presented as two separate epics ... the storyline follows the same bunch o' people. There are also a couple of prequel books to the dual series.

I don't really want to go into explaining the story but just know that it's a classic fantasy plot. Character development and Storytelling are done extremely well and its these characteristics that makes this a "must-read".

For more information, you can visit

It's a really good site that can give you an insight about the tale and the author.
