Chinese - can't stand curry! pfbbt
Have you ever tried Afghani food? Now that's good eats! yum yum

I know Indian food is very popular in the UK, but it's not as popular here in the States, yet.
Lots of Thai and Vietnamese restaurants popping up recently down here, don't like those either.

This is a difficult choice...I enjoy Chinese food a lot, yet I prefer Indian food. I quite enjoy the taste of curry.

me too.....and please......theres more to indian food than spicey curries........a lot of indian food is mild.....particularly the northern mogul cusine...............and some sichuan cusine dishes (thats chinese btw) could blow a vindaloo out of the water for heat...........and its funny that UK chinese cooking doesnt cater to the vegies.........a lot of chinese food IS vegetarian.
i enjoy lebanese food too......and Iraqi.......very healthy, lots of veges but beautiful use of spices....yummy

Yeah little devil, nan is great with curry. I don't know which I like because I like both of them so much! Last Saturday I went to China-town and had a big lunch, and I loved it. I love Indian food, too, esp. the curry. However, I don't eat that much since they say spicy things are not good for my health (I have some problems). I can't decide! If given more choices, I'd say I like Japanese cuisine best. :p Chinese people eat some things which I consider disgusting (like monkey's brain).

i know its weird that english chinese doesn't catar much for veggies....when i went to china most of it was veggie...very little meat at all cos most chinese people are quite poor and vegetables are a lot cheaper i guess. the real reason that english veggies doesn't cater for veggies is probably cos i always go sunday buffet cos i don't wanna spand loadsa money....dck pancakes are really nice without the duck though...i love the sauce that goes with them!

when i went to france ages ago i noticed that chinese food over there is really different...they have different sauces and stuff...weird!

about naan bread...i love all of it...but my fave is peshwari naan...mainly cos i love korma and it goes really well!

From what I hear, in China meat is used as a side, and the rice and veggies are the main part of the meal - they only put a lot of meat in it for our occidental tastes. But I guess that backfires for Bonos Girl! Sorry hon.

Anyone tried Ethiopian food? There's a place in DC I went to once. It's communal eating and you scoop your food out of the big central plate using this bread-like stuff that tasted like a dirty dish sponge and had the same consistency. Bleah! Once we got them to actually give us forks and individual plates, we really enjoyed it, though.

Actually, Roca-Wear, food in Afghanistan, when they can get it, is cooked the same as it is all over the world: in a home, if they have one. I was lucky enough to be able to eat it in a very nice restaurant in DC, with real tables, napkins and everything.

there was a guy at my first primary school who came from south africa...and everyone asked what he ate and was really dissapointed when he said 'sausages and baked beans'! i think they were excpecting him to say something weird like worms...lol

oooh yum, baclava...made right that is one of the most gorgeous unhealthy deserts around

Chinese food down here is alot different to that in the Uk - I reackon its more authentic as its more multi-cultural here - don't know though, as apart from Singapore I haven'y visited China/Malaysia yet.
There's also a more diverse range of far eastern food, whereas in England you pretty much get Chinese
