For those of you who have not heard, on Saturday night during a Great White concert at a nightclub in Rhode Island, a fire broke out due to the pyrotechnics and the death-toll is at 97 and rising.

Apparently there was no fire sprinkler system installed and the entire club was destroyed, many people including one of the members of the band have died, and many more were seriously hurt either from the fire or from being trampled on in the hysteria that ensued.

The thoughts and prayers of all of here at WotR go out to the families and victims of this weekend's tragedy in Rhode Island. May the dead rest in peace, and may the living that are hurt come to know comfort in the days ahead.

that happend like 20 minutes from where i live... i know a few people who's family was effected and our state is in shock right now... it's really quite sad..

awww....that must be terrible for you gatsby. It was awful just listening to it on the news.....

it is there are grief councilors about the school, and my drama teacher lost someone so she's been out... the worst was when they started identifying the bodies and posting the names on the news... it was wicked sad

awww....thats terrible...i hope everyone starts feeling better about the whole situation soon.....

I had no idea it was a concert. I just thought it was a club fire. Just the same it changes nothing in the sadness. Peace and love. God Bless.

That is very sad. :( I heard it in the news, but didn't know that it was that bad. May God rest those souls who were lost and the people who were affected.
