...and the two travellers exit the tavern, leaving their many friends behind them.

Sindarin and Glarawen are about to begin their journey across Middle Earth.

From this village, they will venture east toward Rivendell.*

As they are skipping along, humming a tune to "i will survive", they bump into an elf at the outskirts of the village.
"Hey! My name's Winyaél, and I'm an elf! What are yours?"

Sindarin
March 1st,2003, 04:03 PM
"Greetings, Winyael. I am Sindarin, an Elf Knight and Ranger, and this is my friend, Glarawen. We are travelling east to Rivendell."

Winyaél Greenleaf
March 2nd,2003, 07:32 AM
"That's great! I'm from Mirkwood and I'm supposed to go to Rivendell to meet up with my cousin Legolas Greenleaf and other fellow Mirkwood elves, but I lost my way. Can I go with both of you?" asked Winyaél.

"Sure!" said the elf knight, so the small party of elves continued their journey to Rivendell.

(Heh, Sindarin, looks like there's only the 2 of us here.)

Soon, the sky darkened and the 3 travellers decided to settle down for the night.
"The first thing we'll have to do is build a fire. Then we'll make some supper." said Winyaél.

(well, you can juz type Winya or Winyael if you find that stroke thing on top of the e inconvenient to type. :) Anyway, Fairawen, I think you can just join in any time you like. That's what I did. whose? mine? oh dear did i make a mistake?

Winyaél Greenleaf
March 4th,2003, 01:44 PM
No! Not you! Haha, Dawn just said Fairawen! Ok, continue story...
"Let's hunt some orc then." said Winyael. (alright, I'm quite sick of typing the stroke too. lol)
"Don't be silly!" said Sindarin. "We aren't going to eat orc meat."

Just as she completed her sentence, the elves heard a rustle in the bushes. They turned around swiftly and came face-to-face with some ferocious-looking orcs.
"Ah... dinner! I've had enough of stale bread for 3 stinking days!"

"Gulp! Looks like we will have to hunt some orc!" said Glarawen.

The elves quickly drew out thier arrows, fit them into their bows and got into battle position.

Sindarin
March 4th,2003, 04:43 PM
"Alright, Glarawen, but I'm not eating any."

Winyaél Greenleaf
March 5th,2003, 12:18 PM
The elves fought bravely and fiercely, slaying many orcs. However, the stench of blood spilt only attracted more throngs of blood-thirsty orcs. The heroines were getting weary.

"Oh! I've run out of arrows!" exclaimed Winyael, and she quickly dropped her bow and fumbled around for her daggers.

"Me too!" said Glarawen, as she shot her last arrow through the throat of an orc.

"This is serious..." said Sindarin.

As things were looking grave, they heard a rustle of the bushes and the neighing of a horse. An arrow flew by and skewered the orc standing menacingly behind Winyael.

Glarawen
March 5th,2003, 02:16 PM
"where did that come from?" asked glara.
"huh" said sindarin.
who is on the horse. It killed some of the orcs but will it be a foe to the travelers?!?!!?

Winyaél Greenleaf
March 5th,2003, 02:30 PM
The orcs, sensing something amiss, immediately took to their heels.

(looks like Sindarin will have to be the one to reveal the saviour lol)

(I geuss I'll join in now, well, here I go! Gulp!)

"AiiA!" the travelers watched the woods from where the cry had emitted. Suddenly, a horse carrying someone burst through the brush into a leap. The creature, who they could not make out because of the speed it was traveling, landed in the midst of the Orcs. Orcs fled under the sword that was being swung wildly by the creature upon the horse. The group gazed at the wild masacre that was going on before them. At last, the battling ceased, most of the Orcs were dead, the rest fled in terror. The speedy figure on the horse was finally slow enough to make out, and, now that the speedy figure had slowed, had noticed the others. "How can you have been so ignorant?" it was, which startled the travelers, a hobbit, a female hobbit. "I thought that indeed that elves could sense such things, not only hobbits."

(I think that went well, don't you? You guys can reply, I don't know what you'd say!)

Winyaél Greenleaf
March 6th,2003, 11:46 AM
"A Hobbit?!" The elves shouted.
"I feel stupid..." Winyael grumbled as she bent down to pick up her bow.
"Well... thanks I guess." Sindarin muttered reluctantly.
"You elves are prejudiced!" shouted the hobbit.

Glarawen
March 6th,2003, 02:16 PM
Well is this hobbit friend or foe? Friend i sapose................ Come join us. said glarawen

Fairawen
March 6th,2003, 09:48 PM
"Well," said the hobbit, thinking very hard, "You elves will need some protecting I suppose!" The hobbit-maid got off of her horse an approached them, "I suppose I have not properly introduced myself! My name is Fairawen, and you are?"

Sindarin
March 7th,2003, 02:27 AM
"Welcome to our group, Fairawen," Sindarin replied, "and thank you once again for the rescue. What brings you this far into the wilds?"

Glarawen
March 7th,2003, 02:45 AM
Glarawen *shakes hobbits hand* dont hobbits usually hide in danger? what brings you out here and judging by your attack you are a seasoned warrior how be this be

Fairawen
March 7th,2003, 02:47 AM
"I've been hunting down that small band of orcs for a while, they broke off from thier original group."
"Small?" said Glarawen, "They did not seem so small when they attacked our group!"
"They were in a MUCH larger army," said Fairawen as she remounted her horse and settled in her saddle, "My band and I decided to break up the first part of the group, for they were spaced out into about ten groups, I should say about a thousand in each group." Fairawen hung her head in dispair, then suddenly lifted her head and looked off into the distance, yet they still saw her tear. "My band was two thousand strong, now there has to be less than a hundred left, I followed after this group with a few others, I am the only one of the ones that followed me." She wiped clear the tear.

Glarawen
March 7th,2003, 02:50 AM
So there are more? or are u the only one? join us please!

Fairawen
March 7th,2003, 02:54 AM
"I hope there are more," said Fairawen turning toward Glarawen, "That escaped the other nine groups that were following the one we wiped out, but, unfortunatly, I can hope only at the moment, for it seems that, yes, I will be joining your band. Where are you off to?"

Sindarin
March 7th,2003, 04:15 AM
"To Rivendell, Fairawen...the house of Lord Elrond."

Fairawen
March 7th,2003, 04:28 AM
Fairawen stood gaping, "Some fortune has brought us together, for my last orders from my captian were to go to the house of Elrond, once all orcs in the group had been slain, and to tell him of the grave danger that will soon come to Mirkwood, Lorien, and all to the West. I would explain, but there is no time now, I have just remembered the urgency of this." Fairawen imediatly sprang on her horse, "I am sorry I have no more horses, for I would gladly share them. I have heard that the elves are the swiftest in all Middle-Earth, therefore we can travel at a swift pace, yes?"

Glarawen
March 7th,2003, 02:10 PM
correct! we can. Lets be off then. this is no time for chatting. I still sence those orcs and i fear they are watching our every move. we must move withall swiftness so they will lose our trail. you arent enough wait for that horse to leave tracks but we must be careful if we take turns. :mmmm:

Winyaél Greenleaf
March 7th,2003, 02:28 PM
"Erm... have you all forgotten dinner?" asked Winyael.
"We cannot afford to tally." said Sindarin worriedly.
"Oh that... Do not worry, all I have to do is deliver a letter to Rivendell and get my cousin Legolas is send some horses here. I believe he's long reached Rivendell already."
"Oh yes, you have to inform him that you lost your way and will be arriving late, don't you?" asked Glarawen.
"I don't actually. Everyone's used to the fact that I lose my way everytime I go..." *notices looks of amusement in her fellow traveller's faces* " umm... walking around outside Mirkwood..." Winyael blushed furiously.
"Some elf you are..." muttered Fairawen under her breath.
"Ahem! Well, I think I will call the messenger here!"
Following that, Winyael put two fingers to her lips and started whistling a soothing and merry tune. Immediately, a great white dove flew into her outstretched palm.

Sindarin
March 7th,2003, 03:13 PM
"An impressive talent, Winyael." said Sindarin.

Winyaél Greenleaf
March 7th,2003, 03:19 PM
"Thanks!" beamed Winyael. "Atar says I'm a talented elf"
"You're real talented alright. You've got a talent for getting lost!" chuckled Fairawen.
"Ooh..." A speechless Winyael grimaced.
"Oh let's not tease her anymore!" said Glarawen. "We'd better start on the letter, then we'll have dinner!"
"Hope it doesn't require the hunting of orcs." said Sindarin dryly.

Fairawen
March 8th,2003, 01:02 AM
"Orcs?" said Fairawen as she scrunched up her face, "You were going to EAT ORCS?"

Sindarin
March 8th,2003, 03:06 AM
"Of course not." replied Sindarin. "Although it was their intention to eat us."

Fairawen
March 8th,2003, 03:16 AM
Fairawen nodded, "I expected so. We vote then, should we go now and travel though the night, or rest tonight and try to find something to hunt?"

Winyaél Greenleaf
March 8th,2003, 08:27 AM
"Well, I'm hungry you know. I heard my stomach growling." said Winyael, as she put the letter to her pet dove's beak. "Go! Eruwen!" The bird flew from her outspread palm. "Besides, we don't have to be in such a hurry. I believe the horses will be sent here as soon as Eruwen brings the letter to Rivendell."

Sindarin
March 8th,2003, 03:58 PM
"I agree with Winyael. We should rest here for the night. Who will come with me to hunt?"

Fairawen
March 8th,2003, 05:02 PM
"I shall, if we indeed have to wait then I should like to wait with a full stomach!" said Fairawen as she drew out her, which she did not use as often as her sword.

Sindarin
March 9th,2003, 03:10 AM
"Very well...follow me," replied Sindarin, as he disappered into the dark forest.

Fairawen
March 9th,2003, 03:13 AM
Fairawen followed warily, bow ready. Though she had not told the others, she had a feeling they were being watched.

Winyaél Greenleaf
March 9th,2003, 03:15 AM
'Let's collect some firewood to build a fire then.' suggested Glarawen.

'Oh, and those mushrooms look good too. Maybe we can pick some and keep a stock of them for our journey.' Winyael pointed to the huge clumps of mushrooms further to her right.

'Alright, I'll get the firewood and you'll collect the mushrooms. But please don't get lost.' said Glarawen.

Glarawen
March 9th,2003, 04:07 PM
Winyaél returns with a big pile of mushrooms *mmmmm* as glarawen returns with firewood. they set about starting a fire with the other two arive carring a bird and two rabbits and something else glara didnt reconize.

Fairawen
March 10th,2003, 12:42 AM
The two walked in from hunting and dropped the animas they had found next to the fire that was being made. "What is that?" said Glarawen, pointing at one of the animals, "I don't recognize it." "It's a Likel," said Fairawen, picking up the strange animal that looked like a cross between a hare and a badger, "Good meat." All of a suuden, Fairaen looked stunned, "Are t-th-those m-mu-mushrooms?" she said, pointing to the ground at the small pile of something. Yet she didn't wait for an answer, she immediatly grabbed a few and stuffed them in her mouth. "Don't eat them all, I just gathered those!" said Winyael, yanking Fairawen up from the pile. Fairawen's face went red, "I'm, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to react like that." But then she immediatly looked toward the forest. I'll be right back, I think I hear something." And she ran toward the forest.

(You guys talk or soemthing so I don't double-post!)

March 10th,2003, 01:54 AM

Fairawen
March 10th,2003, 02:16 AM
(Thanks!)

Fairawen snuck into the wood, sword ready in case the thing she had heard was an enemy. She stood stock still once she had gotten far enough into the wood. A rustle on her right, she held sword ready, for a sound emitted from the brush. "Ohh," it was a groan, and out came a man. He stood as tall as he could, "I will follow you, my captian." then he colapsed. She quickly ran to him, and called to him, "Bruleth!"

A being came out of the wood, the elves stood quickly in case it was not Fairawen, but it was. She carried a man, if you could call it carrying, on her shoulders. She laid him down as the others looked quizzically at her. "He's hurt, badly." Fairawen said as she ripped off parts of her grey cloak to wrap around the worst of the wounds, "Could someone get me some water?" Glarawen quickly brought a bowl of water and Fairawen lifted his head onto her lap and dressed the wounds best she could. In the midst of the dressing, the man awoke, "I had to follow you, you left me with a bad concious." he said dryly, "I told you to go with the others Bruleth, but do you listen to me, no! Just don't talk for a little and drink this." she put a little of the water she had used to dress his wounds to his lips. He drank it all, and laid back in her small lap, "You really expected me not to follow you Captain?" she quickly silenced him and wispered in his ear, "They don't know of rank here, so just call me by my name." he nodded his head in agreement. Still, the others had questions.

(Sorry to leave you to the questioning part, but, hey! I'm not you, right?)

P.S. Sorry for such a long message, but I can't double-post yah know! ;)

Glarawen
March 10th,2003, 02:58 AM
is there any kingswollow here? that should help with the wound on the right chest..... as for the one on the leg it needs treatment NOW we must move in all hast and what is his name?
where did he come from?
nevermind we must move with all swiftness swiftbeam, my horse is at rivendell so that aint going to help us. come we have to use this horse. who is the fastest rider. I am fast but i dont know who is the fastest ( i do about 77 ells a min) we need to get him to elrond

Fairawen
March 10th,2003, 04:19 AM
The man stood, but leaned on the small Fairawen lest he colapse, "I am a known to be the fastest rider in my troup, but I believe the elves may ride faster, you should ride." he then tried to support himself on his leg, but colapsed on Fairawen, who almost collapsed herself under the weight. "I believe I could find some Kingswollow quickly enough," Fairawen said as she laid the man down, "If you need questions answered, ask Bruleth." she said, pointing to the man. She then flew into the woods. The man smiled, "Since we seem to have alot of time here, you had some questions, yes?"

Winyaél Greenleaf
March 10th,2003, 05:58 AM
"Yes we do, for example, Who are you? What are you? Where did you come from? Why did Fairawen call you captain? What's a captain? Sorry but in Mirkwood, we haven't got such things called captain. How are you related to Fairawen? How did you..."

"Stop it Winyael! You're flustering the poor man!" Sindarin intercepted. "Now we have a problem, there's only one horse here, which belongs to this man. And there are five of us. I am known to be a swift rider among my elven counterparts, so I can easily ride with this man to rivendell. But I can't leave you ladies here in the wilderness..."

"Actually Sindarin," began Glarawen, "you don't have to worry about us. I can..."

Just then, they heard a series of rustling in the bushes and four majestic white horses came galloping up. One of them had a rider.

"Legolas!" shouted Winyael.

(heh.... now we've got a new member to the band)

Glarawen
March 10th,2003, 02:13 PM
*glarawen whistles to a horse and the horse comes*
"Swiftbeam!! oh Swiftbeam" she mermers
"Thank you for bringing him!"

Fairawen
March 10th,2003, 05:30 PM
"Alright," said the man, trying to prop himself up on his elbows, "I am very confused, I don't even know most of you, but I believe I should wait until Fairawen comes back for a few of those questions. But," laughed the man, "I think introductions should come first. I am Bruleth, son of Hueleth. I come from a remote village in Gondor. As you can see, I am a man. And I can see that I am in the midst of four elves, might you introduce yourselves?"

Glarawen
March 10th,2003, 08:23 PM
i am glarawen" glarawen
this is sindarin and Winyaél
Fairawen is out somewhere

Fairawen
March 10th,2003, 09:07 PM
"Yes," the man smiled, "I know Fairawen. You were wondering how I know her? Well, I know her from our group of rouge fighters."

Glarawen
March 11th,2003, 01:03 AM
That hobbit sure is strange........ oh well i guess we will all know the story in time

Fairawen
March 11th,2003, 02:54 AM
The man smiled, "Perhaps, though, I know Fairawen. She probably won't give up a story till she knows you well." Just as he had finished speaking, Fairawen burst through the trees. "I found some," she handed the plants to Glarawen, "I'm not a good healer, can you do anything for him here?"

Glarawen
March 12th,2003, 01:32 AM
I am still young, but i know a fair amount on herbs and such..... i do know this, he is getting worse and i dont know enough yet (and would be afraid to try anything) about healing that leg of his...... the kingswallow should help a lot with the wound on his chest. it is an old remidy but it works. my anseters have used it for years......
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
alright are you blood shy? i hope not cause you are going to clean your hands and hold this wound taut. hurry up.... ok *takes a small green jar out of her cloak and mixes it with the kingswallow applies it to the wound. the man shrinks in pain and winces but doesnt say anything* thank you farawen *takes out some cream coloured cloth and wraps it all the way around the man waist and ties it tightly*
hey where is Winyaél Greenleaf and Sindarin? they havent posted in a while......
Winyaél Greenleaf
March 12th,2003, 07:44 AM
'That would stabilise this man's condition for a while, but his injury is more serious than meets the eye. We need the healing hands of Elrond. Bruleth, you'll ride with me back to Rivendell first. The rest of you will catch up later. And since you've all run out of arrows, here's an extra quiver' Legolas threw a quiver full of arrows to Sindarin and with that, took off on a horse with Bruleth behind him.
'Now what?' asks Winyaél.
(Ha! I decided to get rid of Legolas because it's quite inconvenient having to remember letting him have something to do. lol And Bruleth too. lol)
Glarawen
March 12th,2003, 05:23 PM
hes correct though that thing on the leg is infected~bad the wound on his chest is doing better but elrond needs to take a look at it. let them go then you guys follow up on them. Sindarin and I will take the rear. GO! HURRY!!!
*calls Swiftbeam over and prepares him for the ride. "I am in great need of speed, swiftbeam. carry me quick" *
Fairawen
March 12th,2003, 07:52 PM
(Haha! I think I will take care of both Bruleth and Fairawen's dialog. I know who Bruleth is, I use him sometimes and then sometimes I use Fairawen in RPGs!)
"Well, I suppose we shall follow on foot." Fairawen said, picking up loose items and putting them on a pack of her horse, "I'll walk my horse I suppose. Oh, I hope Elrond can help Bruleth!"
Glarawen
March 12th,2003, 08:27 PM
Why would we travel on foot when we have enough horses for everyone? he brought me my horse and several others.
Fairawen
March 13th,2003, 03:06 AM
"Oooh," (I'm not keeping up, am I?) Your right! Well, let us saddle our horses and follow Bruleth and Legolas!"
Winyaél Greenleaf
March 13th,2003, 08:53 AM
So Winyael and Glarawen each got onto a horse, while Sindarin and Fairawen shared one.
Glarawen
March 13th,2003, 05:43 PM
They were riding at a fairly good pace when glarawen heard something in the bushes. "shhhhhh" *the group halted* by the sounds of the rusleing in the bushes it wasnt a very big animal/thing. *glarawen and Win jump off there horses to check it out. a small conerie limps out of the bushes* "ohhhhhhhh isnt the cutest thing I ever saw!" glarawen screams "Shes got a broken wing!
the conerie was a small white bird with golden tipped feathers and big icy blue eyes. "owww! it bit me!" glarawen says as she picks it up. *she puts it in her cloak* Maybe i can heal it or get Elrond to take a look at it when we get there. *the company continues there jornery
Sindarin
March 14th,2003, 03:26 AM
*Sindarin glanced from his horse to the Conerie hiding beneath Glarawen's cloak*
"I wouldn't worry, my friend." he said, "I'm sure Lord Elrond will be able to heal this creatures' wound."
Winyaél Greenleaf
March 14th,2003, 04:21 PM
(sorry, what's a conerie? a kind of bird? I only heard of canary. :blush:
The little party rode on for days with little food and rest. Legolas and Bruleth were always a fair distance ahead.
Glarawen
March 15th,2003, 12:25 AM
Um i made it up!!!!! I wanted it to have gold wings and i couldnt think of a bird that had gold wings so i made it up!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Fairawen
March 15th,2003, 02:19 AM
(Psst! I also made up that other animal that someone didn't recognize! I couldn't think of an animal so I made one up! ;) )

Most of the while Fairawen kept urging them on, "We must hurry! We have much urgency, remeber?" that would always would urge them on a little. Finally, it looked as if they would reach Rivendell in the morning. "I think we should stop for the night." said Winyael, looking at the sunset, "It would be pretty dangerous to travel later than this." but Fairawen was over confident, "No, we have much urgency. Besides, we are near to Rivendell, a safe haven!" so they decided to treck a little longer.

Glarawen
March 15th,2003, 02:27 AM
Glaraawen agrees. "we are this close we need to keep moving"
They continue on there way.

Fairawen
March 15th,2003, 06:01 AM
By the time they stopped it was to dark to see the road in front of them. They made a small fire and cooked a bit of the left over meat they had from the hunt. they all sat around the fire while Glarawen poked at it with a stick to keep it going, "We should reach Rivendell in the early morning if we set out quickly." Sindarin looked in the pack then, disappointed set it down again, "That is al for the best, because we are out of food except for a little bit of lembas." they all sighed, they had had quite enough of lembas! "Well," Fairawen said, as she laid down, "We had better get to sleep as soon as possible." everyone agreed to this and they were soon all asleep, but they decided to leave the fire burn down on it's own.

Fairawen's eyes opened, she heard a rustle. She stared around without moving much, enough to see many Orcs coming from the forest on the side of the road, trying to surround them. She looked at her companions, and, surprisingly, they all looked back at her. They made as much conversation with eyes as possible, enough so that everyone knew that the rest had thier weapons ready. "At least we are prepared." thought Fairawen. She signaled and they all sprung into action. There weren't as many as Fairawen had expected, just a small raiding party that decided to branch off and cause some trouble. The travelers were winning, there were not many left fighting, and some had ran back into the woods. When all the Orcs in sight were dead, Fairawen gathered her cloak she had been using as a blanket and put it on, "We cannot stay here, those Orcs that escaped might have been from a larger band and have another little raid while we are sleeping."

(Oops! Sorry for the double post! I didn't realize til it was too late! mecry)

Sindarin

*Sindarin gathered his belongings from the camp and looked toward the horizon through the dark forest*

"We must leave before the Orcs regroup," he said. "If we hurry, the path to Rivendell might still be safe to travel."

Fairawen...as this is a message board, no one expects immediate answers. Please keep this in mind.

Also, try to refrain from double posting. Just remember that after you post you have fifteen minutes to edit it.

Sindarin...please start an OOC thread for this Role Play. OOC comments (such as the conorie explanation, etc.,) should go there.

(Sorry again! mecry)

In the morning light the weary travelers could be see peaking over the hill along with the sun. They were all traveling with eyes on the ground, feet dragging from exhaustion. Sindarin looked up and was startled, he smiled. "We need not travel much farther, look!" he pointed ahead. All looked and thier spirits lifted, Rivendell!

*Rivendell was in clear sight of the weary companions. As they approached Imladris from the forests of the East, Sindarin silently breathed a sigh of relief*

"At least we're safe," he said to his fellow travellers, "yet our journey is far from over....Let's be off, Lord Elrond is no doubt expecting us."

(I think I'll do the next one now, I can't stand it!)

They surrounded the bed, where, of course, laid Bruleth. He was snoring gently. Fairawen smiled as they all sat on small, beutiful stools, "Doing what he should be doing, of course, sleeping!" she sighed, then she stared at her companions, then at Elrond, "Hello Elrond, it is long since I have seen you!" "As well as I." said Elrond, nodding at her, then looking to the others, "I auppose all of you know why you are here, and a few do not. Unknown to a few of you, you have all come for the same purpose." he stood, "I have called together a council, for our allies have a messanger that they have sent." he nodded once again at Fairawen, "I must leave now, I trust you will stay with Bruleth." he left the room. They all stared at each other. "I suppose I should tell you about Bruleth, I didn't get to properly introduce him. I will answer what questions you have about him."

March 24th,2003, 08:51 PM
Elrond looked at the bird she held out to him, then took it and cradled it, "I believe I can do something for her, thank you Glarawen. And, perhaps we may talk later after I am finished tending to the bird." he then left. Fairawen turned to them all, then, being silent for some time, to try and think how she would say what she had to say. Finally, she looked up and sighed, "I know you will think this wrong, but I have withheld information from you, on purpose of course. I will not tell all now, but all will be known at the council he has called. I can tell you some things now." she looked over to Bruleth lying in the bed, she nodded toward him, "Bruleth and I were in the same troupe, I told him to go after the captian of the band of Orcs we had come across., while I went after a small amount of Ocs that had escaped together. We are friends, but I suspected we would not see eachother for a long while. Imagine the surprise I had when he walked to me, all torn up like that." (She avoided the part about the captain stuff.) Elrond came back in, "The bird is resting, which I suggest you all do, I saw you coming after Legolas and Bruleth. I will show you each to your rooms."
He led each to a very comfortable and gorgeous room, which each, after getting cleaned a little, rested, for all had travel through the night. (As you already know!)

Elrond greeted them each after they had eaten, "Good morning, i trust you all slept well?" they all nodded, he smiled, "I am pleased to hear this. They council is scheduled for a time that is soon, you may rome if you wish, I will find each of you when it is time." he left them, and Fairawen said, "i have not been here much and I should like to see more of it. Please excuse me, I wish to seek new places!" she ran off not waiting for them to answer.

*Fairawen walks away, deciding to rome the halls of this beutiful palace.
Eventually, her thoughts run to Bruleth, so she decides she will vist him.
She walked in, and he was awake.*
"Hello, I see you have awaken." Fairawen said, as she smiled, he sat up on his comfortable pillows and returned her smile, "Yes."
"Where is Elrond?" she said, looking in all the niches he could be in, "I have not seen him for at least an hour."
"I saw him going outside with Glarawen, talking about a Conerie, and about learning.."
Fairawen did a slight giggle, "Yes, she said that she wanted to learn from the Master of Rivendell!"
her smile seemed to fade a little, she gazed out the window and sighed, "If only it could last..."
"Your thinking of the future, what is to come." he said gravely, "I can see that distant look in your eyes, the look of war."
she looked down, then looked again at her friend, "Yes, you were always able to see what I was thinking," then she smiled, "That's how you were always able to slip out of my grasp, when I was thinking of other things." her face again turned to solemness, "I was wondering, did you see any of my men escape?" he looked down at the bed,
"Not many, and I fear that they could have been hunted and killed."

(Ok, Glara, you go on with yours, my message is too long to put in one!)

Glarawen: please remember this is a Role Play.

You style would be acceptable in some circles, but I do not think this is what we strive for in this forum.

Please remember that a Role Play is 'a story told from many different points of view'.

Fairawen: Posts are only to long if you run out of characters (i.e., the system won't let you post that much), instead of waiting till someone else posts to post more, just put it all in one post.

Fairawen
March 29th,2003, 09:30 PM
Glarawen and Fairawen found the rest of their company, and then Elrond found them.
"Follow me." they did as he told and soon were walking into a beutiful pavilion. They saw at least fifteen others sitted at a rectangle table. Elves mostly, but thier were some men. Fairawen even thought she had sighted a dwarf, but could not find him again. They sat two to the right and to the left, and Elrond sat at the head. All were talking to each other except for those that had just come. Elrond stood and all fell silent.
"Most of you know why you have been summonded, but few of you do not. Captain Fairawen...." he held his hand to Fairawen and she stood. Her company were stunned, she was the Captain? She said that her captain was killed! They began to understand what she meant by she had not told them everything! The hobbit stood and took a deep breath,
"My troupe was originally a scouting horde, but we have since gathered other small bands of unorginized fighters who are on our side. We were near the Sea of Rhun when we encountered one of the largest hordes of Orcs I have every seen. I have estimated that there were at least eight thousand, each breaking into a group of at least a thousand. They looked orginized, but I know that they could not be just a rouge group, they must be on a mission. We followed them to the river Celduin, where they followed that river. I was fearing for those in Mirkwood, so I attacked the first two groups with my troupe of a thousand." she paused and sighed, "It looked as if we would win, but then there were many Orcs that esacaped in the direction of Mirkwood. I sent my best man Bruleth with three hundred to stay, and I took a hundred to chase those that had run. By the time we reached the woods, I had only half the men I started with. We continued to hunt them into Mirkwood, and past mountains, and into more woods. By the time that all of the Orcs had been slain, I was the only one left alive. I knew I had to go directly to Rivendell, but I had no idea where I was. I then found these elves," she outstretched her hands to Sindarin, Glarawen, and Winyaél, "Who were also on thier way to Rivendell, but when we were on our way here, I found Bruleth badly wounded. He had followed me past woods and hills, for he knew that he had to tell me what had happened to my men." she looked around uncomfortably, then said, "He says to me that all are dead to his knowledge. He says that he has geussed their intent, to destroy the place of peace, to deastroy Rivendell. This is the problem that we face." she sat down, while all of her friends were wondering at Bruleth and waiting for Elrond to say something.
(Ok, I don't want to hog the council, so I'll let someone else say some stuff! :-) Btw, Sorry about assuming that the time is before the finding of the Ring, but I couldn't think of anything else!)

March 30th,2003, 10:45 PM
Elrond stood up and began to talk again. "Glarawen, would you like to say something?" Glarawen stands up and begins talking. "As Fairawen mentioned us before *gestures toward Winya`el and Sindarin* we were also heading here. I do not know much about Sindarin except that he has traveled before quite a bit. As for Winyael i do not know much at all. I come from Mirkwood but I traveled around the last year or so. My horse, Swiftbeam, has come with me and has been there for me through thick and thin. He was here at rivendell because i was planing on staying at Bree for awhile and he would get board having to stay in the stables. A month ago i left him here and went to Bree on foot. When a traveler at Bree was saying about a large party of orcs killed his horse, i desided i nolonger wanted to sit and wait around when there was a party of orcs out killing animals. I wanted Sindarn to go w/ me because i still did not know the land that well. He finally agreed to come w/ me. Winyael we met soon after we left bree. then we met Farawen on the way. Bruleth we found also. he was badly hurt and that is when we needed great speed to come here. we wouldnt have made it on foot but Legolas [wasnt it legolas?] came w/ swiftbeam and enough horses for the rest of our party. We came here in great speed. That is all i really know up to this point.Does anybody else wish to speak?"

Fairawen
March 31st,2003, 03:36 AM
(I geuss we just wait for one of the others to talk! Btw, yes, it was Legolas. Also, I'm sorry if I've been mainly basing the story on me and my characters, as in Fairawen and Bruleth, I have to think of something really important to include you guys in, something from history or something! Or, of course, you guys can come up with it yourselves, I dunno!)

Sindarin
April 4th,2003, 05:05 AM
*Sindarin stood from his chair and addressed the council*

"Lord Elrond...honored guests of Rivendell, Glarawen speaks the truth, and there is no doubt in my mind that these Orcs pose a serious threat to our personal safety...and to the safety of Imladris..."

*Sindarin continued, his piercing glance never deviating from Elrond's*

"...This past evening, we were almost attacked at our camp by a group of Orcs. Thankfully we we able to fight them off, and send the remaining soldiers of darkness retreating into the forest...Yet I fear they will return, and in greater numbers...

...Based on the news of recent events Fairawen has shared with us, I agree that these Orcs are no mere rogue's. They have orders to disrupt the peace of these lands, and we must stop them."

*Sindarin finished speaking, sat in his chair once again, and silently waited for another to talk*

Fairawen
April 6th,2003, 08:57 PM
A elf stood and gazed at all present,
" My name is Thilardis, I am General of an elite force of elves, five thousand, but we are gaining more everyday. I have seen a small part of these Orcs, but I took no heed to them. The information that you have shared Sindarin, Fairawen and Glarawen, is indeed vital to what we will do here at this council," he paused and stared at Elrond, Elrond nodded for him to continue, " I believe that we may have an idea."
*All leaned forward to hear what this proposition would be*
"I have talked with Elrond, and he agrees that we should take a vote on this. I believe I should let Elrond continue."

He sat, while Elrond stood and continued what Thilardis had left for him to say,
"We have agreed that a small band of spies should try and, if the next group of Orcs travels into the wooded areas, then those that are skilled in staying alert, those that can stay hidden, and those that can stay alive might prove useful on this mission. Those that think that they can do this thing may stand and aprove of themselves or of someone that they think could do it better then they could. Let those that can do this, stand."

*All waited for someone to stand, others waited for thier moment to stand.*

Farawen, Glarawen, Sindarin, and Wingel looked at each other and they all stood at the same time. Glarawen said, "We will go"
Does anybody else wish to go?" elrond said.

Ithilraen
April 15th,2003, 02:09 AM
An elf garbed in all black (save for a white undertunic) hunting/traveling clothes stood up. " I do." Everyone turned at the sound of her voice. As everyone looked at her she lifted her head proudly. This elf was the foster-daughter of Elrond and Celebrian. She was found in the river Loudwater as a babe on mid-summer's eve. Elrond looked at her foster-daughter lovingly.
" Father, I would like to go. Please do not deny me. I have watched Elladan and Elrohir go on missions like these, and I long to do what they have done." Everyone turned and looked at Elrond for the answer.

April 15th,2003, 08:00 PM
Elrond heaved a huge sigh and siad "well we will go even if i forbid it so you may go with my blessing." The group began to start packing there bags with heavy hearts for no one really wished to leave but they all knew that they must.

Ithilraen
April 18th,2003, 10:25 PM
Ithilraen was in the armoury putting arrows into her quiver when Elrond came up behind her.
"My daughter, go with my blessing. Take care of yourself and always remember that the Grace of Valar is protecting you." Ithilraen ran over to him and gave him a hug.
"Thank you ada, I recieve your blessing." Elrond let her go and placed somthing into her hand. Ithilraen looked and gasped with surprise.
"Ada! This belongs to you! This is the blade that Earendil gave to you before you left Valinor. I cannot accept this! I am only a foster child to you, a elf-babe that you and mother took pity on. Give it to one of my brothers, or even Arwen!" Elrond studied her for a minute, then smiled.
"Ithil, it is true you are not one of my blood, but that does not matter for i love you as much maybe even more as one of my own. Ithil, take it, and use it when the need comes, for this blade can and will kill with a single stroke, for it causes the wound-bearer to bleed with out stopping. Take care of it." And with that he kissed her on the forehead and left.

Meanwhile Glarawen was packing her stuff in her small pack that amazingly held a lot. She went down to find the conerie that she helped before in the jorney. When she went to leave the bird it wouldnt let her. "I suppose you want to come dont you?" she said the bird chirped a short song. [laughs]"Alright then but i think you need a name then. How about Seabright?" the bird started chirping loudly. "Alright Seabright it is. Come on i need to stalk up on arrows. the two set off to the armoury.

Sindarin
April 20th,2003, 06:19 AM
*At the armory, Sindarin was gathering-up some light weapondry for the remainder of the journey, when he noticed Glarawen approaching with Seabright perched upon her shoulder*

"How goes it, my friend?"

Glarawen
April 21st,2003, 02:47 AM
"Oh fairly well. I am going to miss all this" said Glarawen making a wide sweep of her hand. "Seabright is doing much better and in the next few days, she will be able to fly again. Elrond has taught me much and hopfully i will learn more before the journey is finished. Where are the others?"

Sindarin
April 21st,2003, 04:52 AM
"The others?" replied Sindarin. "The last I saw them, they were were gathering food in the kitchen."

Glarawen
April 22nd,2003, 05:02 PM
"Oh! i almost forgot!!! food! how could i forget food! I need to go down to the kitchen to get food will you join me, Sindarin?" said Glarawen

Ithilraen
April 22nd,2003, 08:07 PM
Ithilraen turned as Glarawen and Sindarin walked into the kitchen. She held up a package that was wrapped in a type of green leaf. They both looked at her skeptically. Ithilraen smiled and said, "Lembas, that's all we need, am I correct?"

Glarawen
April 22nd,2003, 09:34 PM
"Ithilraen, have you ever been outside of Rivendell on a journey?" Glarawen continued not waiting for an answer. "Lembas dont have much taste. they keep you alive and healthy and they are light but they do get boring. You'll understand when you come with us. I am filling a little over half of my food pack w/ lembas and paking fruit and meat in the other half. I'll eat the fresh stuff in the beginning of the journey and save the lembas for later. I made the mistake of paking almost all lembas when this journey began and i wont do it again! Umm do you know if you have some dried berries and some nuts? I need them to pack for Seabright." said Glarawen

Ithilraen
April 22nd,2003, 10:11 PM
"I don't eat any meat. Yes, lembas is boring, but I like it. Dried fruits, berries and nut over there in the brown basket." said Ithilraen. "I have only been on 3 journies. Once with Arwen to Lorien, once with Legolas to Mirkwood and once with my brothers when a band of orcs were found north of Imladris. All we took were Lembas and dried fruit and nuts. I'm used to travelling like a hunter, not like I am about to go on a camping trip." Ithilraen smiled at Glarawen, grabbed her pack and walked out.

Glarawen
April 23rd,2003, 02:59 AM
"Have it her way then," Glarawen said to Seabright. "I am still taking something else. could live without meat but i cant live without fruit" Glarawen continues to fill her pack with fruit, nuts and a bit of meat and a small paket of dried blueberries, strawberries, and nuts for Seabright. "Come on Seabright. I want to find Elrond and get a few herbs and medicines for your wound. I also wish to stay goodbye to Elrond too." Glarawen says as she closes her pack and begins running towards the garden.

Fairawen
April 25th,2003, 05:00 AM
Meanwhile, Fairawen had already hastily packed her food and other various things and was saying goodbye to her faithful soldier...
"I wish you could come this time, Bruleth, but I'm afraid you've hurt yourself enough! I have to meet the others in the kitchen. I'd also like to find out more about our other companion."
Bruleth smiled,
"But, all elves? I'm sure you would love to see a diffrent type of face around once in a while?"
Fairawen smiled,
"Skilled are you in the ways of prying at someone, but not this time."
She walked off , without a second word to Bruleth, to find her other companions, this time four met her, not the usual three.

(Sorry I havn't written in so long! Havn't been on, family troubles!)

Glarawen
May 13th,2003, 01:21 AM
the four continued on there ways, meeting at the outskirts of Rinvendell. from there they continued there jorney. suddenly, not 5 miles from Rivendell, Swiftbeam (glarawen's horse) reared up and a hush went over the small group. Glarawen sent Seabright ahead to look for any troubles

Sindarin
May 13th,2003, 01:28 AM
"What do you suppose it is, Glarawen?" asked Sindarin. "I cannot sense anything..."

Glarawen
May 13th,2003, 01:32 AM
"i am not sure, Sindarin" she replied. "I am sure Seabright will find what it is. Since Elrond and I healed her, she seems to take a liking to me and does quite a bit for me" the company waited to the birds return

Fairawen
May 22nd,2003, 02:29 PM
As they waited for the bird to return, Fairawen tried to speak, as much as she could, to Winyael,
"Um, Winyael?" Winyael turned to face Fairawen, "I'm, um, forgive me for the way I acted earlier, (refering to Fairawen calling Winyael "A person that gets lost alot" or something like that) I did not know you, and now that I do I ask for your forgivness for my behavior." she hesitated, "And for the, um, "Why didn't you know that the Orcs were coming" attitude."
She regained a little of herself, now that she had asked for forgivness, but eagerly awaited a reply before Winyael's bird returned.

Glarawen's bird, Seabright, came back w/ bad news. She says there are three orcs ahead and they have ahold of another conerie. It seams that they are tourtering it.
