To answer you, yes, if memory serves me he made it back to Bree and they're reunited there. I think it would a great touch to have Bill and Sam meet again, although I doubt if many members of the audience will even remember him..... ;)

Was there some significance to Bill's name? DId he have a history? I read someting to that effect but never found any details. Am I grasping at straws?

HF is right about that..... all I remember besides is that he was the only horse in Bree that Strider and the hobbits could find, and that he was extremely unhealthy and scrawny because Bill Ferny treated him badly. The quest did him good and Sam and he bonded, which is why I think a reunion would be perfect. :)

The parting of Sam and Bill in Moria is much more emotional in the book than in the movie, but I think Bill should return in RotK. No, Aragorn should NOT ride him! I can't imagine a great Numenorian king riding a little pony! roflmao It'd be so funny! I think Bill should appear when the hobbits head back for the Shire and arrive at Bree. Bill came from Bree, and it would be natural that he returns to his home.

There was no indication that Sam favored Bill more than any of the others of the company save for the brief Aragorn speech when they released him. I doubt that, with all the material to be covered in ROTK, that PJ will waste any time on it. It would confuse those that haven't read the book. Can you imagine trying to figure out the significance of a pony that got 2 minutes of film time in a movie you saw two tears ago?

But people dont have to read the books course he was in the movie, if anyone watched the movie carfully they would see the scene of Bill and Sam sperateing. That is why they need to be reunited.

They met him back in Rivendell, all fat and happy, and that's all I remember. I think maybe they took him with them back to the Shire, but....well, I'm not sure, so don't quote me. :)

I voted no, and then realized that I thought it would be cute (in the EE, obviously), so I say Yes. Maybe. Even though it's a stupid waste of time. :grin:
