I want to start a new RP, as I have obviously already said, :grin: Anyway, if your interested, then put if you want to be a good or bad person, what the name of your character is, what kind, elf, man, hobbit, so on. Bio: A bounty hunter, he is hired by aristocracy, merchants, anyone who has the money to kill, or sometimes only capture, the person's enemy, rival, whatever. He is a worshipper of the Dark Religion, or of Sauron, and has worked for the Eye's minions many times.

Obviously he's a bad guy.:flamer: Well, you need ideas? Well, I could do my job and capture someone, and most likely apply torture while the good guys rescue him or her. What do you think? You have to have some ideas!!

Scars: One on her shoulder from an attacking Goblin who jumped on her back, and another on the back of her neck when someone tryed to slit her throught but failed.
Weapons: A bow she made to her size and a short sword she calls "Writhe" for the way the first thing acted when she killed it.
History: She does not know how she came to Middle-Earth, but she remembers wandering through trees and going to the oceans. She also remebers two of the most beutiful trees she had ever seen, one was gold and the other silver. Since then, she has been going to towns and forests as a shadow, she kills those that are unjust and simply wants to be ignored by others. If she possibly manages to find friends, she is the most loyal person to them and would protect them to her full extent.

Race: human
Weapons: two long elvish knives and a sword of Gondorian origins(was found with them and for some reason, unknown to even her, would not be parted with them). Innate skill with both, and further trained in Sauron's army
History: None. Mad case of amnesia and was duped years ago into Sauron's service, as implied above.
Characteristics/Features: Tall, dark. Near black, short wild hair and piercingly bright blue eyes. Not very feminine, for she was brought into Sauron's service as a warrior, not a woman. She wears leather pants and tunic, over which a short mail shrit and over all a long black cloak. dark skinned and strong. Because of her build, her hair and her attire, she is often taken for a man until her face is shown. To the knowledgable, her features are actually descendant of the house of Beor. She is quiet, cunning and merciless, speaking few words and communicating more with action. She has become a trusted spy and servant of the dark army, about the rank of Liutenant, and perhaps could be acting as an emissary or an agent for him.

The Hall of fire rose up darkly in all directions. Polished walls of obsidian and glass gleamed eerily in the torchlight, and flickers of fire jumped to and fro across the stone ceiling. Sauron sat on his dark throne, folded deep within his dark thoughts, and pondered how he should make his victory. Day (as best could be called day in Mordor) faded to black night, and the whisperings of an evil wind seeped into his halls and filled his mind with ideas.

"I should become mightier possessing the weapons of mine enemies," he thought. His dreams as usual turned to the three rings of the elves, and how he might wrest them from their masters, but such deeds had proved impossible. Nenya lay deep within the Golden Wood, guarded by the Galadhrim and protected by the everseeing forethought of Galadriel. Narya had long dwelt with Cirdan at the Havens west of Eriador, but sometime had disappeared from there and vanished from his knowledge. And Vilya was utterly lost to him.

He pushed the thought of the rings from his mind. "They are too far out of reach." For a long time he sat and stared into the blazing fire at the end of the hall, and the wind gain came to him, with thoughts of other elven creations of power. The rings had been sequestered and the Silmarils were no more. Ah! Such gems were mighty in the days of old! But they are gone.

Gems...he turned over in his head

Stones...

A green light flashed before his eyes in the fire, and the air aroung his stopped moving as he grasped a new thought.

The Elessar

Ah, yes! The Elfstone of Imladris! He remembered tales of spies who had said that Lothlorien was growing green again, long before the coming of the three, followed long after by reports of bands of elves carrying some treasure north to Rivendell. Surely such a powerful gem would aid in breaking his enemies and encourage the conquest of Middle Earth.

But how? The House of Elrond and elf-home of Rivendell was no small outpost. Without the One Ring and his full power, he could not dare assail it by force. He might send a scout or a spy to infultrate it and steal the stone by stealth, but the keen eyes of the elves would spot a soldier of Mordor miles off and kill him before he reached the gates. Indeed all but elves would have no luck entering the veritable Fortress of Imaldris.

At this thought a slow grin spread over his face. "All but elves..."
His mind perceived a memory and his thunderous voice suddenly echoed through the halls, part in laughter, and part in beckoning...

The halls shook with his voice. He called a name he had given himself, grudgingly in the vile tongue of the elves, as it sounded fairer to fair ears. He called to one whom he had corrupted to his service long ago, and could indeed pass through the gates of Imladris in fair guise wih foul intent.

"M O R N I E!" He called thorugh the night, and she heard him and heeded his call. Silently she crept from her camp near the Morannon and mounted her dark horse. Through the darkness like a shadow on wings she flew to her Lord's call, and as she reverently stepped into his halls and felt his black gaze upon her, she knelt...

Her mind filled with his message and will, and she rose. With a low bow and silent recognission, she left. Fleet were her horse's hooves as she rode back to the camp, mission in mind.

Nah I'd say you can just post your character bio, (make sure you included whether you are good or bad) and barge right in wherever you want! :) The little story I posted above is just a little idea for a plot to get this thing rolling.
Sauron attempts (successfully?) to steal the Elfstone from its residence in Imladris... MWA HAA HAAH HAA!

Then something really bad (dunno what.. prolly something like Shelob) lives in S Mirkwood and makes an alliance w/ da baddies... I dunno.. that's about all I thought out

Characteristics: 5'8" tall with black waist length hair and emerald green eyes. Her skin is the colour of pale honey. She has a firey temper, is rebellious and loves flouting authority.
Dress: She prefers dressing in buckskin tunic, leggings and boots.
History: Was found abandoned in a cave on the border between Gondor and Rohan as a tiny child, by King Theoden's lifelong friend Helken, who took her home and together with his wife, brought her up as their daughter. She is an expert horsewoman, having spent much of her life in the company of the Rohirrim. Her father is Master of the King's Troop.
Weapons: A small curved dagger and two exquisite Elivish knives that were found beside the bodies of her true parents and given to her when she came of age.
Goodie or Baddie: She's probably a goodie but then again...her true father was a Haradrim. What do you think?:mmmm:

Personally, I liked both of the ideas I have seen here, might we somehow mix them? You know, put a little of each story in there? Probably not, (I can't spell!) but, you know, just an idea, don't want to leave one story in the dust, since they are both great, :-)

It's going to be hard to pinpoint the exact time it takes place though, very hard. Nobody would mind if there was no exact time mentioned, would they?

Eh, I'm not too worried about it, unless your story takes place during an important time, relative to important events in ME history. (Ex. before defeat of Dol Guldur, before destruction of Beleriand, blah blah blah) but hey any of that can be explained with enough detail (or lack there-of) in your prologue. That's my take on it.

Hopefully so...hey, I've got a question:
I'm doing one other RPG at the moment (which has sorta been put on hold because the person who started went on leave for a bit to pass his classes), and I'm starting to notice that it's much different from lotsa the other RPG's here. Cuz just about everyone there (Checkout New Journey Part One: Return of the Elves) gets super descriptive in their posts and mine are virtually mini-FanFics. Should we (are we supposed to) do that or just keep them short and simple, so that no one knows what they're thinking? Return of the Elves is cool, but I just want to get a few opinions so I don't torque anyone off.

Well, a point inbetween those two ranges is what we'd shot for.

Little hints as to what the character is thinking helps the people RPGing with you learn why the caracter does what s/he does. I find that very helpful when I RPG with a new character!

Scars: a few on her arms and legs from previous fights...uinfortunately bows don't work very well at close quarters.
Bio: is rather a young elf, but quite fierce and cunning, she has no pets but prefers to think that every animal she meets is her friend, has a few close friends but it takes a while to get to trust anyone.
Other: has the ability to speak to animals, they are about the only creatures she feels she can trust, and then she can;'t trust all of them. can speak a few tongues but is more skilled in logical thinking that languages.

History: He is a bit of a drifter who travels soley on the desire help the weak and needy. Anastasio was granted eternal life so he could continue to assist, but in return for this gift he was forced to forfeit his early memories of how he came to be. Through good deeds though, he slowly regains these memories he once held dear. He does remeber his journey started after he left Castle Zadrian in search of his lost love that dissapeared while exploring Sundered Forest.
Side: He is Good hearted and a very trustworthy companion always looking for an adventure. He stays very close to his friends and is always there (whether they know it or not).

Mae Govannen, I am an elf of the lineage of Fëanor. (my father was brother to the wife of Caranthir, our family departed Valinor and took part in the Kinslaying I admit). I am the protectoress of Maglor and a fighting feirce she-elf warrior. My wrath is easily provoked, though I tend to hide it better than my near relative. I am of arrogant bearing and not easily subdued, mentally of physically. I am skilled in the magic of my kind, especially in song, a very powerful magic in itself.

I am well over seven feet, and i can fight with either hand, courtesy of Maedhros' teaching. i am learned as the very wise in the customs and beleifs of my people, and apart from my wrath I am feircely and dangerously loyal, especially to the Fëanorians, in whose care I have been raised, my father and mother having been slain in the ships. i have a strongly moral code and am no traitor.

I am unusually tall, as I have said, and am slight besides my athletic build, I am agile, and my hair is waist length, black as night, and braided bacl with strands of red gauze. My eyes are grey green, and hard to look into for mortals. I am 2000 years old, and bear the appearance of a 16 year old mortal. i dress always in a long and fitted mithril shirt, and I fight bareheaded.

My weapon of choice is the double blade, longer and heavier than Mirkwoods's, and a former favorite of Maedhros'. I am unsurrpassably skilled with sword, but dislike the bow. I carry a dagger always.

Welcome to the RP forums LA and FoM...I wondered when you'd turn up here! ;) This RPG started a while ago but has been put on hold because I believe we are waiting for Fairawen to return. Check the "Marvin: the Awkwardly named RPG" thread...that's where all the action's happening. Rightnow I believe Dawn and I are in the process of routing some innocent villagers (heh heh heh :flamer: ), but like I said, we're on pause. I wouldn't mind if someone kicked inback into gear, but you'd have to ask everyone else too...which is basically Dawn and Elvenwanderer and Fairawen...:huh:
