Lalaith - that's what I hoped would happen (RE last line)!
I am also struggling with two possible endings. Sounds a little premature I know but it starts to affect the plot by chpt 8 or 9 so I have to decide + decide quick!
Just not very good at making decisions!!!!!!!!

admitedly this was followed by "Film Haldir does look kinda gay doesn't he"
Perhaps though he does have more to worry about than relationships right now!
Am briefly considering pinning up the two options for the end and throwing a dart to decide between them

lol Well, that would be one way to decide on the ending....you could also release a "Special Extended Edition" of your story, not to mention post one ending, then post an "alternate ending"... ;) lol Seriously though, I'm sure whatever you choose will be wonderful. I must admit, that this is where I have problems in my story writing. Choosing the ending is quite difficult!

I solved the problem by tossing a coin lol
hope you will like it - it was not my intended ending but it was what happened when I started writing and the characters started complaining. Worst was when the Rivendell elves went all mushy and started falling in love for no reason. Honestly - they have no respect for writers these days.

As for your question... in truth, I have no idea where my inspiration comes from... For Sweet Sorrow, all I knew was that a female Elf from Lorien would play an integral role!

And with regards to the points already made - I frequently write the beginning of a story, then the end and then I fill in the middle!

With Counsels in Rivendell, I had the epilogue written long before I actually got to that stage... and with Bliss in Valinor, chapters 4 and 5 are nestling comfortably on my hard-drive but I don't have a notion where chapter 3 is!

Btw, Cel, if you want to ask any questions re fic writing, be sure and let me know... In fact, I was wondering whether a thread of advice might be in order, cos this forum has really grown! :)

Haven't been online for ages but will have to go and read chpt 2 ASAP. Looking forward to it.
Marchwarden being interupted by reality (maths problems, practically everyone got Ds or less in the mock exams and my maths teacher had a real go at us saying it was all our fault and that she had tried her best but we were unteachable and did not have enough commitment and we would all fail. So of course instead of doing anything to remedy the situation she spent the whole time going on and on at us until some were close to tears and everyone was feeling very depressed about the exams) somehow writing a little bit now and then meant chpt 8 was about 4000 words so needs some drastic pruning before it will be halfway readable.
Am beginning that now - I hope to get it finished by the end of the weekend but i apologise if chapters are a bit scare until the exams are over.
