I'm thinking this would be interesting, because here is so many people here from different countries! My favorite TV show would have to be Smallville. If you have not seen it, watch it every Tuesday!

Ooo good thread.
Mine would have to be most of the American shows:
-- The Simpsons = greatest ever!!
-- Malcolm in the Middle = second greatest ever!!
-- Futurama = third greatest ever!!
-- Scrubs = fourth greatest ever
etc lol
As for British tv I love I'm Alan Partridge. That has to be one of the funniest shows ever.

I HATE reality- shows, they're so incredibly boring, can't keep my attention! I like Boston Public and Smallville, those I watch regularly if not every week. If I've got nothing better to do I'll watch Will and Grace, Friends and that english show about that group of couples with all the crazy complications happening don't remember the name oh and Dharma and Greg too. Mostly I forget about them tho. Sometimes I torment myself through Keeping up appearances!

i think what people mean by not real BG is that they arent about real people, or real life.........most of those shows have people playing parts.......theyre practically actors, or worse, people chosed because they are going to cause conflicts.......often theyre scripted, and even more often the situations are set up.......usually to be as nasty and destructive as possible.......i LOATHE reality TV........its the modern version of throwing people to the lions, while we all watch...........you cant damage bodies now..........so now we watch them shred themselves emotionally and mentally........it appeals to the lowest instincts in the human psyche and its horrible.......on ALL levels

Farscape Farscape FARSCAPE!!!
Oh...and Boston Public too!
There hasn't been a show like Boston Public since MASH went off the air, and I'm really really bummed that this is the final season for Farscape! mecry
For those who don't know, Farscape is a show on the Sci-Fi channel, about a crew of 1 human and 4 aliens that are living aboard a living ship called a Leviathan. Most of all they each want to get to their home planets, and the adventures they have in escaping from the bad guys, and keeping wormhole technology from falling into the bad guys hands makes for a fantastic storyline. Let's not forget to mention the love story between the human and an alien. She's Sebation, which is about as close as an alien can get to being human. Only thing is.....Sebations (The PeaceKeeper race) are breed into a military society for battle!
Give me a choice, and I would rather either be living in Middle-Earth or on a Leviathan exploring the Uncharted Territories than on our own beloved planet! lol

Virpacalis teaches Latin in Hgh School. His favorite is Boston Public - I also find him watching SPEED TV constantly - crazy motorhead! He wants me to come to the races with him, but I know I will beat his time. Then our marriage will be in REAL jeopardy! - Better to just watch on TV.
True confessions - I like CMT (country music tv)

Ohhh man, this is going to destroy my already tattered reputation! ;) My current favourites are The Simpsons, South Park, Friends (if only for the comedy stylings of one Chandler Bing!), The Office (class!!!), The Worlds Deadliest Gangs, oh yeah, and heres the clincher - Raw & Smackdown... Told you this post would be the ruin of me!
Old favourites of the last few years include Cops (BBC2 drama - not the American reality thing), The 11 'o' Clock Show (rude offensive and hilarious 'late-night-topical-comedy-show' on C4 starring TVs Iain Lee), Meet Ricky Gervais...
And finally, classic TV shows from days of old... Knightmare (blue-screen gameshow for kids set in the catacombs of some castle), Mysterious Cities of Gold (brilliant epic cartoon), Ulysses 31 (futuristic cartoon 'retelling the classic tale of Homer' - I got that off an ebay description!), Dungeons & Dragons cartoon (even though I hate both the film and role playing game), Transformers (you should all know TF), MASK (another 80s boys cartoon), Jossys Giants (football / soccer kids drama), Grange Hill (only around the period when that damn Smack-heed Zammo was in it!). Hope that has jogged a few memories (probably only to fellow Brits though, doubt many of those shows made it Stateside unfortunately)!

I don't have any favorites, except for maybe A-team, which is too old, and Diagnosis Murder. Japanese TV shows are usually stupid. The actors and actresses are terrible and ugly. The animation shows are even worse. The characters have eyes which take up a third of the face, and the plots are never good.

Does anybody remember Babylon5? It was a great series, until the end, when the last episode skipped ahead 20-odd years...and the series they created to replace it (I was so impressed I forget its name..legend of the Rangers or something like that) died a rather quick and timely death.

Lady A, used to love Babylon 5, though didn't see the last season or the follow-on. Its a shame about Farscape too - thats pretty enjoyable.
I watch ER and an Oz program called Secret Life of Us - very good. I love 24 but we get pants tv signal on that channel, so we're gonna wait for the DVD....otherwise everyone has 2 noses, and really bad teeth.

Oo ick! Oo crumbs!
Farscape is, in my less than humble opinion, the best sci-fi
series ever. Too bad they no longer have a budget, so next week is the last.
As for the late, great Bab 5...
The Legend of the Rangers was a tv movie. I believe the follow up series was Excaliber. Poor Gary Cole! He can't seem to get a break! He's a great actor, but his series keep dieing out!
Raw and Smackdown are weekly not-to-miss staples in my house!
