Which battles in the rotk do Elronds sons fight in.

I think they fight with Aragorn after they make it through the Paths of the Dead. They arrive just in time to help fight in Gondor. I'm sure they fight in that battle, but I don't know about anything else. My friend was frantic wondering if the sons of Elrond were going to be killed in RotK! lol

They join Aragorn in Rohan so I think they go with him into the Paths of the Dead and fight in all the battles after that. I really hope PJ will include them....but they weren't mentioned at all in Rivendell so I'm not sure.

They were the two Elves on either side of Elrond at the Council in FOTR, I believe.

There's still plenty of time for Elladan and Elrohir to join Aragorn. They meet up on the road from Helm's Deep back to Edoras, to convince Aragorn to take the POD. I'm thinking that they, at that point, will not only bring the flag of the king, but (hope hope) Anduril, after Arwen has it reforged. This would be a perfect tie in.

It'll be great to see them. They're twins right?

I can't find any reference in LOTR- maybe in Unfinished Tales, but I don't know if they are ever referred to as twins.

I know I read somewhere that they were identical twins. Can't find it now. The best I can come up with is in Appendix B it says in year 139 was born Elladan AND Elrohir.

Someone just quoted to me in another thread that they are twins. well anyway, I wonder who'll be cast as them.

What is the quote, please. I am sure I read it somewhere but can't for the life of me remember where. Could you please help me out and tell me where the quote is from?

Well, the best I could find was 'So much alike were they, the sons of Elrond, that few could tell them apart' ~ROTK, The Passing of the Grey Company. I dunno if that helps, but that could be for describing siblings too. Anyway, I'm pretty sure they were twins, cuz they were born in the same year anyway.

Hey Lasgalen, this might be of interest to you, and perhaps others as well. It's regarding the famous twin bros. lol

Now I'm quite certain they'll be in ROTK. lol

Not even when they slay their kin and steal their ships?

I was referring to the elves in just LOTR. Haven't read Silmarillion and all the what-so-evers so I wouldn't know. But as far as I've seen in LOTR, elves are elegant, calm, love nature and peace...

The Elves have calmed down a lot by the time LotR takes place.
Most of the Noldoran troublemakers were either dead, or had returned to Aman by this time.

So it is a sure thing then that Elrond's sons will be appearing in RoTK?
What about Prince Imrahil?

I've been asking about Prince Imrahil too. I don't know. Well... there is a rather high possibilty that the twins will be appearing. I have no idea about prince imrahil.

Prince Imrahil plays quite a big role in RoTK as well as he has an army of his own.

Yeah, he also plays a rather big role in welcoming aragorn into Gondor. I hope he is in the movie.
