Has anyone ever named their children, pets, etc... "Tolkien" Names? One day, my friend and I somehow got onto the subject. I mean we don't have children, and aren't planning on having any anytime soon... lol but we thought it would be interresting to talk about... We even thought up some names (first and middle) with the help of "name meaning" search on BabyNames.com. We came up with names like Éowyn Lynne, Shayna Faye (Beautiful Elf), etc.
So, has anyone ever named someone/something a "Tolkien" name?
ie. I named my puppy Sam, after Samwise Gamgee...

well its just for children I think... and if one didnt read the thread before, it'd be very hard to guess what's behind the title....
As to pets etc, I have never named anything after Tolkien, if I ever do it'll be one of the simpler and easy to pronounce names

lol okay. I just checked out that thread - it's a lot like what i was talking about :) haha As for a pet name - yah, i'd name it something simple... like Frodo - but i wouldn't name a person Frodo. :p

Yah well I like unique names and I especailly like Eowyn. But you already know the Hobbitfriend. I couldn't believe how on that site they had Treebread down as a kid name not to mention wormtounge. I like unique names but not that unique.
