Illuvatar, I went to California. Me and Bramble (remember her!?) stayed with her siblings who live in Yucaipa and Carson, somewhere outside Los Angeles. And then we went around to San Diego, Mexico, San Francisco, Las Vegas and some other places. It was great. :thumbs:

Gee....when you were in Southern California, you could've stopped in to say hi to Illuvy and me...you were just about in our backyard! Glad you had a good time...San Diego is one of my favorite places...what did you think of it?

We never stayed long in San Diego. We spent most of our time there at Sea World and the Zoo.

Where in Southern California do you live? Bramble is still in the US, she won't come back until August 12th.

Orange County....Garden Grove to be exact.....10 minutes away from the most expensive, er, "Happiest Place on Earth"...we hear the fireworks from Disneyland from our house, and if we go up on the roof, we can even see them....I went to Sea World a few years ago..we took the kids to the zoo a little while back, but when we're in San Diego we usually go to Coronado Island.

Bramble will be joining our little community soon, I hope??

I guess growing up with Disneyland in the back yard has made me kind of jaded.....it's all pretty much geared for the tourist trade, not for us natives....the only way to make it worthwhile these days is to get a year pass.....it's about 100.00, but since regular admission for adults is about 55.00 and kids 45.00, it pays for itself after a couple of visits....my kids would rather go to the beach, actually...that's where I spend most of my time too.

I never went to Disneyland. We were going to, but then we didn't get time. It's ok though.. I got to see a lot of other things.
