Hidden Bonuses for FOTR Special Extended DVD

I don't know whether it's just me or a whole lot of other people too, but anyway, I knew nothing about these Hidden Bonuses in the dvd and I only found out about them today on a website. Anyway, let's hope this will be a help for those who haven't got any idea about them too. There are 2 of them.

MTV Parody for Council of Elrond:
Insert disc 1 and choose 'select a scene' from the main menu. Go to the page where you see the scene title for Council of Elrond. This appears to be the very last scene on the page. However, just continue to scroll down (using keyboard down button) until an image of a ring appears next to the words 'new scene'. Click on the ring and there you go!

TTT theatrical preview:
Insert disc 2. Click on 'select a scene'. Bring your mouse to the bottom-right hand corner of the screen. (I don't know how it works on the tv) An image of 2 towers will surface. Click on that image and there you go!

If my instructions aren't clear, you can check this out at www.moviemistakes.com This only works for the Special Extended! (4 disc version)

I look at the hidden scene and they are there and it does work on a tv i think they are great , i wonder if peter jackson will do the same on the ttt exe verson.

Weeell, I hope it's not TOO hidden! I have a friend who has the dvd for like half a year and she doesn't even know about it! lol

i found out about these a few months back...but i was really annoyed cos the MTV spoof is only on the american dvds....grrr....lol

its because of the censorship laws in the UK and the effect that would have on the distribution of the DVD in the UK

Yeah, the one of TTT preview is still on the uk version....you know...i came to this thread...read the instructions...came straight off the internet and spent like half an hour trying to find the mtv spoof....i got so angry! :angry: lol

Anyway, they screened this mtv parody in my sch auditorium because there was supposed to be some performance thing but there were technical probs, and they had to keep us entertained. That was so funny!!! lollol
They screened the one for spiderman too.

I won't buy any LOTR DVD till all of them come out together in 2004, cause by that time, they would put them in one box and add some cool additions to them as part of a Special Addition...so I'll have to wait *sits down and waits*

I don't know how you stand the wait! Personally, I would die not being able to see Fellowship and TTT again until 2k4, not to mention missing out on all the extensions to the movie until then!!
