The Noble Collection is a company based out of Ashburn VA. They carry a large and varied line of items from replica historical and fantasy weapons and armour, to sculpted and jeweled daggers and knives, to jewelry, and sculptures. The Noble Collection prides itself on creating eye catching display pieces, often incorporating precious metals and precious or semi-precious stones.
The Noble Collection has a much more limited line of Lord of the Rings weapons, but carries numerous pieces of jewelry from the movies.

I purchased two Elvin Broaches from Noble; one for myself and one as a gift...they are wonderful! I hope someday to get Arwen's Pendant! I am thankful there are companies who decided to design and manufacture LOTR swords and jewlery...for us "hungry" fans...!

I have had good experiences with the Noble Collection. I bought Vilya for myself and the Evenstar pendant for my sister. I think that she is going to get me Saruman's brooch for my birthday. I'm also thinking about buying Nenya for my girlfriend.
I REALLY hope that the make a replica of Saruman's staff eventually, because I would buy it regardless of cost.

Has anyone purchased a Ring of Barahir from Noble/New Line shopping?
I'm really wanting one, but I was concerned about the quality/durability...I'd kind of llike to wear it all the time, but I wonder if it can withstand daily wear, like will the little stone pop out, etc...one would assume, given the price, that it would be pretty sturdy, but I'd hate to find out the hard way...anyone?

I'm wondering if anyone knows why the Noble collection replica of Arwen's sword seems to differ from the movie item.
What I'm talking about his how far up (towards the blade) the wood handle goes. On the movie prop and the UC replica it is wood right up to the spike. On the Noble sword it has a band of metal before. Also the pattern of leaves on the handle is slightly different between the two.
I'm just wondering how such differences can occure between what are toted as offical replicas.

I don't like Noble Collection. Many of their items are so fake... a friend of mine ordered their Axe of Gimli... it looks like rubber... I like UC much, much more.... :)

I'd like to have Éowyn and Arwen's headdresses, Aragorn's ring and the elven brooch. They're so beautiful!

I'm currently in a customer service battle with Noble. Long story short- my mother bought the elvish brooch earrings for me- they are not my style. I asked Noble to return them and purchase the keychain. They said no, my mother (who lives far from me) bought them too long ago (more than 30 days) so she could mail them to me in time for a b-day. Now they will not accept that I just received them 3 days ago as a gift. No gift return policy, no acceptance of a long distance shipping issue. I deal a lot with customer service (that's 80% of my daily job) and this is an example of very very poor service. I understand the policy, but there should be and must be allowances made. I will of course cancel my purchase of Anduril and the Ring of Barahir. But I'd like to know if anyone has had other issues with this company? Usually, it's not just one person who's angry. A mantra of customer service- a happy person will tell one other...an angry person will tell 100~~ I just did my part! ;)

Jeez Mom....that really bites! pfbbt
Now I personally have not had any dealings with Noble, but I know that our supplier Arms of Valour has had their own issues with them. I can tell you that the folks over at AoV are a great bunch of folks, and it may not be much of a consolation, but if you still want your Anduril, then I'd highly suggest that you check them out.

I know that the Anduril from Noble was a limited edition. AoV has just found a United Cutlery LE Anduril in their secondary storage facility. It has never been opened, but the guess is it may be in the 3,000 range of the 5,000 that were made. It has not been put up for general sale as of yet, but if you are interested e-mail armsofvalor@earthlink.net. The asking price has not been established, but it should be around $299.00, which is pretty good considering they have been seen on e-bay for as much as $700!

99% of the items in the Noble Collection make me drool-from AoV, yes I am in love with the Wotr offical sword, Ringil, a bit large for some small thing to wield (like whatever!) but it's so...pretty, and not overly gaudy yet fancy enough to be elven for sure! I'm weird, I hate those gaudy blades that have rubes all over them and stuff. I like pratical, yet lovely. Ringil is the..epitome of that! Yeps. Still, I'd love to have have the Phial of Galadriel from Noble collection....or one of the Harry Potter wands, did ya'll see those? So many beautiful things, so little money... mecry

I bought four of the letter opener swords from them and am very pleased at the quality. (I guess you can't go too wrong with letter openers. lol ) I really like the handle of sting...the metal designs are raised and the blade is really etched. I got a free key chain with them too. I haven't had to deal with their customer service luckily for me I guess. :mmmm:

Has anyone gone by there lately? I was there and now they've got the Crown of Gondor (http://www.noblecollection.com/catalog/catalog.cfm?catid=17). It looks nice, but I was hoping United Cutlery would do one. I better decide soon because it's limited edition and I am still kicking myself about the Sideshow Elessar!

It looks very good indeed! I'm wondering...are these pieces wearable or are they sized down? The Elrond headdress surely must be to small for a normal head...not to mention my thick skull...if the pillow it rests upon really is only 7x7?
The Elven necklace, bracelet and earrings sure do look nice.

They don't really give much of a frame of refrence - I think it'll be adult sized, but I can't be sure. I have a friend who got their Anduril and is really disappointed, so I'm thinking I might wait for UC to do this - or hope that UC will, their stuff is really great!

I have, and I absolutely adore it. The detail is absolutely incredible, and goes all around the ring. You'd swear it was a prop, an actual prop. It's also a little weighty, but I love it. I get so many compliments. I've also gotten Nenya as a gift, had it for a couple years and with the exception of tarnishing, it has held up well. Galadriel's brooch is also a worthwhile purchase - it is breathtaking!

My son has that for his wedding ring, I also was impressed with the quality of the piece- it looks pretty durable to me, I don't think you need worry about that.
I've had my elven brooch for two years now, and it's still as good as new- I know it doesn't get the same sort of wear as a ring, but I do wear it a lot, and nothing has bent or broken. :)

It's really wierd. I had never seen this thread before and seconds earlier I had just visited that site moments ago for the first time (for I had looked at the DVD package thing)!! It's weird how things happen like that.
Anyways I had thought about buyingThe Elven necklace (I forget it's name) but all of the Fellowship where it around their neck. It looks like it is tieing their cloak around their neck.
Anyways it's $75 which might be a good price, I don't know, but anyways, they also have letter openers for $30 and they look really good, I might get the Hadhafang or Anduril.

That would be the Elven Brooche, not the necklace...they all got one from Galadriel remember? The Necklace is a spin-off from the brooche...as is the bracelet and the earrings. Looks nice tho. ;)

Ok thanks, I meant the brooch.
Oh and how does the brooch affix to the cloak, or to anything else?

February 25th,2007, 12:27 AM
Just in case you never got an answer about the broach... It affixes by a pin. I bought one for a cloak that I have for a Renissance (sp?) Fair. It's actually a very nice broach..... ;)

You both will be amazed at the detail and intricacy of any of the swords that you would get from UC. If you are going to buy one, make sure that it is indeed a actual UC blade. Probably the best place to search is ebay. Only thing is there are only a few left. If you're lucky you might find someone selling a piece from their collection. It might not be new in the box but it's still a UC blade and collectors item.
They will probably be a little pricey too since they are no longer being made. If you have questions on any of them please let me know. I have done my research.

Wait, Fin, what now? Isn't the sword from Noble a UC blade or whatever? It cost like $300 or so, I believe.
And Ithil, I can't remember the twin knives for Legolas.

LG... Hey Dear! The noble collection is just a distributor of United Cutlery. I have a link at home from another distributor of UC blades and they are much cheaper than $300. If you would like I can send you the link. What sword are you thinking about buying? Hadrafang? That would be my guess! LOL

God I wish I did... Two of them were hand made.. beautiful tri-colored bows. One was an antique and I believe it was an 80lb draw. It was nice... Being the stupid kid that I was I traded the bows for fishing poles... You know things like that you wish you could call a "Do-over" LMAO! But you know.. Live and ya learn!
I've got a plan for ya... Have you're husband hold a few swords and let him feel the magic in it... LOL Tell him how splendid he looks while holding it! LOL Stroke the ego perse' LOL ;)

Sorry... I wish I never let them go... they were beautiful... We used to sneak into an old barn and shoot at targets that we attached to hay bails.. and shoot the occasional pigeon... Don't worry there were thousands of them.. think of it as population control LOL
Anyway, now that I think of it I was a pretty good shot.. We were shooting from about 50' side to side...
