OMG!!!! I looked through all these threads and no one mentions Linkin Park. What's up with you people?! Linkin Park is awesome:thumbs: I never get sick of their music and I'm going crazy roflmao waiting for Meteora! I also like other bands though. I'll make a list not in any specific order.

Ok, my range of music is too high so I'll just stop the list. Trust me I love tons of music. I have over 2,000 songs on my computer just from June.....24 I think (of 2002) lol and it doesn't even slow it down. or it hasn't

lol.....i love linkin park.
....i'm not the greatest fan of rap-metal but i love hybrid theory so much. when is their new album out? (the one after reanimation....btw is that any good cos i didn't bother buying it cos its all remixes...)

there new album comes out March 25th in like North America and stuff, and on the 24th all over the world, but that's just because of that whole international dateline thing I believe. Reanimation isn't great but I do like listening to it. sadly i probably wouldn't suggest buying, but if you have a cd burner you can always do that, like i did. i mean what's a dollar? (other than a 20 minute phone call). there's only about 3 of them, maybe 4, that i really like and the rest are just tolerable.

Hey there LotN.... Love Linkin Park too... "Hybrid Theory" is an awesome album... and yeah, can't wait for "Meteora" to come out.. already addicted to "Somewhere I Belong". "Reanimation" is a pretty poor album apart from the track Jonathan Davis does..

I think Linkin Park are great. Hybrid Theory is a very good album. :thumbs:
But I can't say I like Somwhere I Belong much. Don't know why, I just don't... :huh: But all in all, my point was - Linkin Park are great. :grin:

yeah i'd really like to see them in concert but they never come to Wisconsin. i suppose i could go see them in Chicago though, but yeah. [Linkin Park] is the greatest band out there. Not only does there music sound awesome, but they put so much work and effort into it and they are very skilled at what they do.

i agree illmare. his voice has so many different pitches and just the overall quality of it is awesome. and he has so many different ways of singing it's just amazing. the whole band is amazing in their own unique way though. i would also like to note that mike is a musical genius :grin:

wow it seems like i last posted sooo long ago...but it's only been a couple days....anyway, oh, yeah, i subscribed to the LP underground it is totally awesome!!!!!

much like Disturbed, Linkin Park has given rock a slap in the face and woken us all up to something a little different, and something a little more wicked than pure rock. both bands came out in the surge of rap-metal back in '99 and '00 with the likes of Limp Bizkit (ugh...thank goodness Wes left), adding a vital punch to a new genre of rock. thankfully tho, with public opinion leaving rap metal behind to a degree, both bands have emerged from a muscial evolution of sorts. but sadly, not discussing Disturbed, so we'll take on Linkin Park ;) Park has not abandoned its emcee, the soulful inner voice to Chester's life-searching lyrics. It is something satisfying to grasp the subtle changes in Linkin Park, a departure from Hybrid Theory's marraige of rap and rock, to a more soulful and melodic temperment, inducing a greater choice when hearing truly electrifying riffs and percussion. In like way, we can see the emergence of Disturbed...a new album, a more introspective outlook on life...and while never forgetting the screaming lyrics, and f' the man mentality that shot both bands into superstardom...the soul of Disturbed and Linkin Park have grown to a degree which will hopefully only be exceeded with albums to come.

and btw, Reanimation was a remix of Hybrid Theory....of sorts, only brought out to remind the nation that there was still a Linkin Park. not truly an album able to stand on its on ;)

Yeah, Draiman has an excellent voice too... agree with you on that one, R... for once;) lol
If you're into great voices.. check out InMe... new Brittish band... the singer, Dave McPherson has the most incredible vocal instrument!!

agreed Linkin Park has evolved, from Hybrid Theory to the current more melodic style.......but the evolution of melody was kind of inevitable i think........when you have a voice like Chesters you go with it......with its incredible range, both vocally and emotionally.......that said, the rap elements are still there......and while im no rap fan, i think that its a strong part of their flavour, and i like the way theyve taken rap and made it change and morph to fit what they want to portray......it IS almost melodic in and of itself, the way they use it.....its bcome less a marriage of the two styles as more a melding............creating something new from the union.....ill be watching with interest to see where this progeny of metal and rap goes from here ;)

awesome would be like the understatement of the century...really. has anyone ever heard "dedicated"? it's a song from like '99 or '00 when their band name was Hybrid Theory. it's pretty good.

no, it's from when the band was called Hybrid Theory, not from the cd. At one time they were called Xero, then Hybrid Theory, and when they were making their debut album they changed their name to Linkin Park.

I love Meteroa but i still don't think its better than Hybrid theory. They should have done Meteroa as their first albulm, which is great, then have blown us away with hybrid theory!
