Hello Everyone,

My availability here is about to become a bit limited. As several of you know, I've recently accepted a new position in a company where I will be working with a team to develop a new system to detect biological and chemical warefare agents. Very cool, very exciting and a nice raise to boot.

Unfortunatley, this means I probably won't be online much during the day anymore. I'll still preform all my mod. duties and be adding regular additions to the Armoury, but won't be available as much for IM etc. during the day.

Friday is my last day here in the lab. Then I have a week off, and will be gone mon and tues fishing. (OK, so I don't fish - I just drownd worms..). Then from the 19th of July through the 2nd of August I will be at Ft. McCoy for my two week annual training as a member US Army Reserve. There is a small chance that I may have some limited internet access during this time, but I wouldn't count on it as we'll be in the field often humping ammo.

Well, I'm not LEAVING the site. I'll still be here BG, just not quite as much. 1000 flaming elves couldn't drag me away. :)

Interesting work Orc ...

Are you a chemist by trade? I received my degree in Chemistry (Forensic to be specific) several years ago then worked in the field for 5 or 6 years. I did everything from isotope research to drug screens ... hehe. Never did anything with weapons though ... that's kewl.

Enjoy the training.........I rather suspect you will too.

I'm acutally a bacteriologist by trade. I'll be working more with the biowar agents than the chem agents.

I do enjoy my army trainning - especially since I'm in ordnance. Gotta love playing with things that make really big BOOMs.

We'll I managed to survive two weeks of Annual Trainning. All went well and no one blew themselves into tiny pieces. The worse that we had was a couple of wasp stings, but nothing serious. We managed to move a lot of trainning (i.e. inert) ammunition to set up a trainning site for future use to simulate ammunition operations.

It is definately most wonderful to be home! As well as to come home to the best LotR site in the word. Seems like I have managed to missed a bit of the action in the last two weeks not to mention all of you wonderfull posts. It'll take a while to catch up, but I will endeaver to do my best.

Thanks for all of your support!
