My LOTR art

Hello, I decided to post my movie character art here! So far I have only done characters but soon I hope to do scenes as well. These were done on the computer, and took ages, since I cannot draw people by hand to save my life.I used photos only for reference, I did not just blur photos and both of these were started using a blank white canvas. They were done in Paint Shop Pro 7. I also have hand drawn work, but I usually draw on the computer because my scanner packs up! mecry

I think I iike Boromir better than Legolas....Now that's gotta be a first lol

Seriously.... though, I like them....there's some nice detail in there, especially in the Boromir one.

Well, I did spend more time on the Boromir one. :shhh: It wasn't my first attempt , though. That one went horribly, horribly wrong...

mmm i love the Boromir......i think with the Legolas its the grading of the shadows that throws the image out a bit.........its interesting that you use the computer to draw from scratch....not something ive ever tried (not that i have the software to do so anyway ;) lol) but its interesting to see what a high level of detail youve achieved with it

I can't work proportions properly when I use pencil and paper - it always looks wrong. :( That's why I prefer to use the computer. Plus, it saves scanning lol

Good stuff! They look really good! They kind of look like photos, and yet have a look as if they have been hand drawn and shaded. Nice style. Keep up the good work!

Well why do I feel like I've seen those pics before lol. As I said before fantastic work YB! I wish that I had some art that I could put on here. But then again why would i bother when your art is so amazing I can just stare at that than try at my own feeble attempts. I haven't looked around much, so forgive for asking if you've put those other LOTR pics on as they were fab too. *dreams about drawing* I'm only just worthy enough to post my art on PC! Oh dear! Thats a great pic like i told you so many times before YB! By the wayElfdaughter, grey in horsey terms means from brilliant white to stormy grey, so tis right.

Some people get all the luck I get just one day off for Easter! I think that's appauling. Well we get the Friday and the Monday...but as I don't go on Fridays anyway...I only get the Monday. No fair!!!

LOL I told you I liked Kirby! Thats soooooooo GOOD, as usual! I love the Boromir Kirby jumping in the corner and the Bilbo kirby really captures his essence. I can just imagine Kirby running around eating all the LoTR characters now! lol. Well I'm inspired to go play SSBM now, so I'm off to get Kirby to eat Mewtwo!

I once played "Kirby" on the Gameboy from my little cousin and I found it so funny and Kirby was so cute! lol

Yay you put it on here YAY! I love that picture. They're all so cute! I love kirby! I love the kirbyship! Lol Boromir Kirby is my fave again, you always have to draw him extra cute! LOVE the pic again....WELL DONE! Maybe your next Kirbyship should have a little action in it as they all seem quite peacful at the moment, though they're are extra cute with it!
