here in the States, we had the cartoon on PBS, (public broadcasting network) but they had them for the books Redwall, and Mattimeo. My favorite is Lord Brocktree, I always like stories about Salamandastron.

Oh, I love those! I've read all but Legend of Luke, Lord Brocktree, and the new one. I saw a little bit of the show, but stinking PBS kept changing the time they were on, so, I never saw many onf them.:( I wanted to tape them, but I eventually gave up. They weren't bad either. (of course, they were for kids, but so what!)

I've read most of the Redwall series. Very cute, but exciting too. I've some friends who are nuts about the series!

My favorites are: Redwall, Legend of Luke, Mattimeo, and Mossflower. Later ones are more serious. I'm recently tired of them because the stories are always about the same: A bad leader and his gang wants to conquer Redwall Abbey, a warrior of Redwall saves the place. The most recent one that came out is Triss.

Yeah, that's why they are good only to read once...I usually don't like sea captain bad guys...pfbbt

I HATED it when Rose died! I was so upset, Martin didn't deserve that at all. I was half hoping that she was suddenly not dead, just all the wind was knocked out of her....mecry unfortunately...

I've read most of the series, but Redwall is probably the best. Most of the recent ones like "Outcast of Redwall", "Legend of Luke", "Salamandastron", and others are getting dull because Brian Jaques probably can't come up with any more ideas. It's always about RedWall Abbey being attacked by a vermin leading a multitude of evil rats, ferrets, weasels, and such.

I've read all the Redwall books, so far, and I love them all. I have never tired of the "conquer the Redwall Abbey" storyline, I love it. The 2 newest ones, Taggerung and Triss, are not about that at all, though. They're really good, but I liked the older ones better, personally. I think my favorite was the Legend of Luke, or Martin the Warrior, it's hard to pick. Also, they're all kind of jumbled in my mind. I remember few specifics, but I do know they are great books! Has anyone read his one non-Redwall book Castaways of the Flying Dutchman? It's really good, I think it took me 4 days to read. If you haven't read it, or the Redwall books, you definately should.

Loamhedge doesn't come out in the UK till 2004 - this is Brian Jacques' home country so you would think it would come out here first :(

I was at Barnes & Noble the other day buying Wheel of Time books, and the Redwall books are like a shelf above them, so I naturally looked for Loamhedge. Well, I found it, and concidered buying it, but decided to just wait until I can get it in paperback. The funny thing was that one of the dust covers was printed upsidedown/backwards, so on the front was Jacques' picture, upsidedown, with "Loamhedge" dented (there's a word for that, what is it?) into it. I laughed. lol

I haven't read the Angel's Command yet, I hadn't even heard of it until I saw it at Barnes & Noble (then I forgot about it until just now). It looks good, if it's anything like Castaways it will be, I'll have to read it...soon, that and Loamhedge.

I feel so bad because I used to pride myself on having read every single Redwall book, but then I sorta got all entangled in highschool and I haven't read Triss or Loamhenge ..:( but I do remember them as awesome books ;)....my fav was Mossflower, I just loved Martin and his almost-death and especially the songs they sang on thier way to Salamandastron (*starts to sing out of tune* "Salamandastron, here we come, a thief, a warrior, a mole, and though our quest may take its toll, we'll march until we reach our goal!!!" ;) lol ) It's kinda cool how you get so wrapped up in the characters and everything is so serious and then you step back and realize that its all about little fieldmice and badgers and little creatures....but I love them

I was browsing thru the bookstore and saw Loamhedge and sighed...How did he shoot these books out so fast! I need to wait for my library to have it. Belive it or not, I actually started the series With the Pearls of Lutra, the 9th book. The good thing about Redwall is , you can start at any point in the series, and still understand the story.

I've read some Redwall (redwall, mattimeo and martin the warrior), but am not a great fan... It has a lot to do with the books being quite formulaic. I've also seen the cartoon version of Redwall... it's not bad for a cartoon :)

I have all of them except Mossflower, Marlfox and Loamhedge.
they are great and the cartoon is O.K.
