I really think that rather than bother with Doom 3, the best game would be a graphically enhanced, and slightly modified version of Doom and Doom 2 combined. Imagine that, almsot photorealistic Cyber Demons and Arch Viles... Its such a simple yet guaranteed moneyspinnerthat I'm surprised ID hasnt thought of it before... I often think about reinstalling the original because it is one of the best games ever, and the game engine would need to be enhanced (ie using the Doom 3 engine)... but the core game could remain intact, in fact even a straight port so to speak would be better than most of the rubbish that is force fed to us these days...
