According to the news article posted, a virtual actor whose movements were used to generate multiple images for LOTR movies and games was not credited for his work. Apparently this is legal because his contract did not stipulate that he'd get credit. But many folks who had less to do with the making of the films (fans & drivers) DID get named on the credits of the ext. DVD.
Am I missing something? Why would you not credit someone who contributed to the success of the movie? How much space does a name take? Wouldn't you want to encourage a person's good work? There has to be something more to this story - a personal fued, legal precident, torrid affair. I'm pulling at straws 'cause it just doesn't make sense. Can anybody shed more light on this subject?
