Is any one else having a problem with our Chat Room???

Is any one of you having trouble coonecting with the Chat Put your complants here!
I cannot connect with the Chat Room!

If you have a concern about the chat room or need techincal help, please ask your question through the appropriate channels, ie PM a member of the staff or contact one of us through email. We'll try to help you but a thread 'complaining' about the chat room isn't going to tell us how to help you at all.

Well this problem doesn't seem to be with the wotr client only as a chatter with other client (other than mIRC and the site one) complained about the same problem.
However mIRC seems to work fine, so maybe the best to download mirc from
If you can't or don't want to get mirc the only thing that I can do is give you the separate servers and one of them should work.

If it gives you an error while connecting, go back to configuration (press config should do it... its the place where you enter your nick) and try with different servers (type one of these in the server name box (where it says irc.sorcery.net))... if it doesn't work try with the next, etc.

Ive tried to order those starting with the best ones, but it's hard to say which one is best for the time being so if the first ones dont work try the others

It wasn't working for me either, so I changed irc.sorcery.net to kechara.sorcery.net, and now it works all the time:thumbs: and I'm on there all the time!lol

My prob is that pple don't go to the chatrooms to chat! :( I'm always there with one or two pple only.

I was able to go in a couple of days ago but the server will not connect it stops and nothing happens i get frustrated and I can't connect!

This may seem a wee bit late, but, hey. As Mirky mentioned above, Aaliyah, have you tried the different servers? Sometimes IRC will go through netsplits, which are just about the most confusing things to explain, but to put it short, some servers will be down. If none of those work..then it might be your internet browser. I know the chat doesn't work in my tech lab at school. It doesn't even -open- ;)

So, try that out, Aaliyah, (or, anyone else) if you ever have problems again; but I have seen you in there within the past two days or something; seems to be working :thumbs:

And about the 'no one is there!' kinda thing, maybe we should try to have more scheduled chats. *nod*

just outta interest...i know it was like ages ago..but when and why did the chat room move from sorcery.net ro whevere it was before and become a web link and get all confuzzling? i managed to miss that for ages when i didn't use chat :p
