The Ring is destroyed

OK... if this is the wrong forum to put this thread in or there is already a similar thread I am sorry and could a kind moderator please delete it?

Anyway... Tomorrow is March 25 and what does that mean?!? It's the day the ring was thrown into Mount Doom and Sauron was vanquished... in about a 1000 years but there you go! Ceri and me were going to take some candles into school and light them in the music rooms and play Gollum's Song ;) but we have rehearsals all lunch :( so we thought we could have a commemeration thing online.
Has anyone else got anything wonderful and amazing planned to celebrate Sauron's fall? :p maybe you can celebrate it here! :grin:

Actually I think the destruction of the One Ring happened awhile ago. I've read Tolkien interviewed and he said we're probably in the Fifth Age, or the beginning of the Sixth Age(this was in the 1950s). So depending on the length of the Fourth Age, we're probably a few thousands years past the Destruction, at least. Excellent idea, and a great reason to celebrate.
P.S. - Anyone who is more familiar with those Tolkien interviews: feel free to correct me. I'm not 100% sure, I guess
