Still, I wish there wasmore on Shadowfax. I love that horse! Bill's cool too. But Shadowfax is ............amazing......*daydreams*....ARGH*wakes up*.....phew. That wasn't a pleasant thought.........hmmmmmmm.......*daydreams* ....ARGH. you've bever ridden YB? i used to ride...but then the riding school became really evil and i stopped going cos they woldn't let me ride the horse i had ridden for 2 or 3 years claiming he was too big for me (he was the only horse i trusted to canter on....)

Well I'm afraid that I'm the lucky one who owns a horse. Me and my mum share her. She's an arab mare, and such a lovely horse. I guess that's my reason for liking shadowfax. I have to say I did see the Bill bit in the I love section, maybe I should set up a Shadowfax one- lol. Its strange that everyone I know whos ridden and given up has done so for the same reason as BG. In fact when I was being taught, my riding instuctor went extremely mean, but with my stubborn attitude (and a little help from my mum) I persisted, and now I have my wonderful arab mare, which happened to be kept at the riding school for a time, and me and my mum wouldn't have her if I hadn't kept going. I mean after the horrid bit things lightened up gradually, I think its an idea programmed into all riding instructors! Its a shame you gave up BG, and you missed out on the thrill of a gallop! I have to admit I have a story to do with my horse and galloping......it was kinda an adventure to gallop bareback without realising that I was going to do that. It does end in oww, but nothing bad!

Yay you used the thread for it's use! I have an arab mare, wait I've already said that.......ummmm....she's a grey, what colour is your arab. My arab had her 14th birthday on Sunday and we brought her a cake :) She loved it! But then again it was a chocolate cake and she loves chocolate! Weird huh!

hahaha, I got grounded......you won't believe this....sooo ironic!!!!! cause my bro had boy scouts (don't ask me anything that's too complicated bout it, cause i don't know jack squat bout it!!), and my mom went wiv him, I was supposed to be doing a stupid Bio project pfbbt and not allowed to get online until I did my project, and cleaned up the kitchen--I started on my project, and forgot I had to clean up the kitchen, and.....got online.....mom tried to call, and I *ahem* "accidentally" didn't put up the internet answering machine, :blush: hehehe....and I got busted. lol so I'm grounded for a solid week. If i get online when i'm not supposed to after that, and forget to put up the answering machine, im grounded for a month, and if i do that again, i'm permanently off the internet....which i don't plan on letting that happen...so only late at night, and at skool in the mornings. ;) that way, I shouldn't get caught. lol

lol yeah i think my teacher was a bit of a wimpy bloke but bear in mind i was almost 6 foot and 12 stone so i wasn't your average 12 year old, even still he should have been able to take care of me, i'd just never back down from any arguement he made.

i think i almost made my teacher cry once..mainly outta frustration that anything else! I was yr 5 (about 9 years old) and he was about 5 foot, he was trying to tell me off for getting 5 minuses (we got them for being really naughty or summat) and all i could do ws laugh at him...probably not the wisest of things as i was sent to the headteacher and for a week afterwards i had to carry round a piece of paper for the teachers to sign to say i had been well behaved and stuff......he was so frustrated that he was practically in tears...didn't help my laughing fgit though! lol

lol sometimes teachers deserve what they get, i broke my sports teachers nose, who happened to also be my head of year, once during a rugby match in PE, he thought it was an accident, the gullible fool. lol

yes i was almost 6 foot, i've changed very little since then. i was known as the freaky big kid, especially when my brother who was 2 years older then me was 10 inches shorter then me. :huh: i must have been the milkmans or something. lol

i dont think i could have gotten expelled even if id tried.......but why on earth would i have wanted to? heheh i spent my entire high school career, never having done a stitch of homework.........was known to walk out of classes if i got bored and basically did no PE at all except for skating as a option ;)..........hehe got hauled into the Principals office regularly.....but its kind of hard to take seriously a grown man who wears safari suits and has a head like a thunderbird puppet roflmao:flamer:.......sides.......he stopped giving me the "talks", after i told him that they really werent going to do anything to me, cos they knew i was going to pass my exams, whether i attended school or not ;)..............lol im not really the best role model i have to say ;)

i had a pretty big break last year, probably a lifetimes worth, i had 3 months off between january and mid april and then i had another 2 months off between may and july. and thats without all the odd days and going home early.

I have 10 days of vacation time a year. Plus a whopping 10 days off for Holidays, incl. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off. I understand most of Europe gets like two weeks? We get no time at Easter, either.

10 days? that is a small amount of holiday, i hate to say it but i had almost 6 months off in total last year, 4 and a bit was sick but i had at least 7-8 weeks holiday. do yourself a favour and be a teacher dear, just don't treat the kids like you treat me. ;) lol

Well, this one came first, but it sorta got hidden and then Random comments got started. And, IMHO, the difference is that "mindless ramble" is just incoherent thoughts. mostly, ppl don't pursue conversation in here; in "random comments", they do, but the conversation is allowed/invited to be broken by a random off-topic comment, unlike in a normal thread. :)

EVERYBODY misspells my name...but I sometimes forget that..that people misspell my name, I mean, but in the first few school weeks I'm always reminded of it as we always get some new teachers, this year a whole lot of new ones and they never know who to spell it...but I got used to it...lol
I'm eating a salad...and then I'll have to do my English homework..yes, I get homework on the 4th school day...I'm angry...with myself...I accidentially (no, I don't know how you can actually do that accidentially...) deleted all the files on my laptop...most of them were saved on a memory stick, but my photoshop graphics, which I made for the Wallpaper and Banner Competition here, were all deleted...:-/I think it'll take some time until I actually have the time to re-do them...

I'm not in a very good mood lately...well, I wouldn't know why I should be...it's just all so stressful and I'm having a pretty bad time...I went to my doctor earlier this week and he said that I was suffering from a pretty bad gastritis which could lead to a gastric ulcer if it wasn't treated right away...and it was just caused by stress...I was like :o Whoa....and on top of that I'm suffering from depression and my family is the kind of family where you don't talk about that kind of things...you know, where you have to be happy all the time...so, I don't really have anyone to talk to..besides my best friend and my mum...but I'm okay...I'm taking some pills and it's supposed to be just fine...I just thought you should know why I might seem a bit different than usual..

I'm all for Christmas music, but I'm not ready to spend time with family. I mean, I love them and all, but I've been in need of some time to myself for about 2 months. I'm starting to think that I'll never get it. :(
Though, I've been arguing with people around here about when it's allowable to put up Christmas decorations. I say you can have the tree up and the other decorations on Thanksgiving, and a week before. One of my friends says you have to wait until Black Friday to put them up. My mom doesn't know when it's safe, but you can't have them up yet: it's too early.

Any opinions? :grin:

I confess that I start getting in a Christmasy mood right after Thanksgiving, and I don't listen to Christmas music before that. (I usually wait until a few days after.) As for the tree and decor, I put mine up usually a week before Christmas. I think doing it near Thanksgiving is kinda crazy. lol Man, let's not rush our lives!

You will only be able to upload a custom avatar if you are Member of the Month/Year or Member of the Staff...(correct me if I'm wrong, guys) so far you can only choose from the avatars that you see when you click on "Select Avatar"...the number of pictures you can choose from will increase with your number of posts...

No, the Member of the Month is a special award that is given out each month to a certain member of this site: when nominations open the members all vote for any other member that they think has shown wonderful qualities, is a good friend, has contributed to the GS, etc, and ultimately the one that most qualifies wins. (But you cannot vote for yourself! That's against the rules.) The winner gets a lovely certificate and also gets a custom title and avvy. The year award is the same, basically, but is given out every year.
