Me too! The best line is when Legolas says, "The dead are following." :o

I'ts a bit creepy!

Celebrían
April 5th,2003, 09:36 PM
Yeah, but in a good way. ;) I just hope they put that moment in ROTK. Can you imagine how cool it would be visually to see Legolas turn around and see the dead following?! :o Oh my gosh! Tolkien did a spectacular job describing that scene in the book, so I really hope it's in the movie!

If it's in the movie, I think it would be gr8!! ;)

Celebrían
April 5th,2003, 09:46 PM
I have to admit that I will be very disappointed if it's not, but I'm sure PJ wouldn't pass up an oportunity to put something so visually amazing as that into the movie.

I'm pretty sure the Paths of the Dead will be in there, I just hope they put in the moment when Legolas turns around and sees the dead following them (in my copy of LOTR it's on page 771). It was beautifully written.

Why in the world would Peter cut the Paths of the Dead? Horror is his strong suite!

The Paths of the Dead is so pivotal to Aragorn claiming the throne that I don't expect it to be missing. Plus every time I read it it sends shivers down my spine and I can't wait to see how PJ handles it.

It is in. On www.lordoftherings.net they have some pics of the Return of the King and one of them mentions Aragorn entering the Paths. So if it wasn't in then the official website would have to be lying! lol
