Well, The Rune is glad she stumbled into this thread and posting place...so, in order to post a photo to the Personal Members' Gallery, I have to submit them to War of the Ring directly or to Illuvatar? Does this mean that the Upload Photo link does not work?

I have been trying to post the same picture for the last two days...and wrote Illuvatar a private email. I am sort of relieved, that I am not the only one that has had a problem with loading photos...

The members are truly helpful here!!!!!

Well, there are two different issues here. One is getting an image of yourself in our Member's Gallery that is linked to here within the forums, the other issue is uploading images into the Subscriber's Gallery.

Rune, you should be able to upload images using the "Upload" link in the gallery, I will be looking into why it's giving you an issue.

Could you please email me the photo you are tyring to upload as an email attachment ? Thanks

Okay...I was able to upload another photo just now, so please send me the image that your attempting to upload?

I've checked your account and everything is fine. There are restrictions on size etc, but the restrictions are HUGE! So I don't think that's an issue. And I know now that I mentioned it, your gonna wanna know so here: Images can be no bigger than 2,500 pixels by 2,500 in dimention, and 300kb maximum size in KB.

Now just so you know, the largest picture in our gallery is only 950b400 and 135kb, so I think we've made allowances for just about any size image.

Thank you, for all your efforts, Illuvatar...you've had to do so much for me, I feel overwhelmed. The picture is no bigger than my first photo, but I think you uploaded that for me when I was having problems first registering. If it doesn't load for this last time...and I am trying to do this in PERSONAL PHOTOS only...at the Subscriber's Gallery - where my first one is already posted, I will not attempt again, okay?

You are far to busy to be trying to handle "all my problems", and I am sincerely in your debt for taking all your personal time in handling them. Forever grateful to you....Rune

Well, I took a look at the photo you were trying to upload. It's a TIF image that's 1.99 MB, I sent all this via an email too you and while we've replied back and forth I wanted to make sure that other know as well that TIFF images will not work, neither will GIFS, etc. They must be in JPEG/JPG format and under 300kb in size.

All should be well now. lol

Thank you, Illuvatar, for helping me out and I am sorry that I chose such a large picture. I am glad you posted this problem, although being a big headache I am sure...on this thread, so that others will now know about sizing and uploading certain photos. You are always there for "us".... :angel:
