or did everyone feel like they just rode a rollercoaster as soon as you walked out of the cinema?

I went to a restaurant after it with my mom, uncle and little sister and I couldn't talk! lol my mind went bonkers with all of the things that Jackson changed from the book...not to mention that three hours with no breaks to the bathroom were a bit too much for me....even though I planned out not drinking any liquids as a precaution :p :p :p

Of course it was worth it in the end  The movie is just like the book and isn't like the book at the same time

Wow. Are you really from Saudi Arabia? How interesting.
Yes, I thought the movie was like a roller coaster ride. Since it is higher paced and more exciting than FOTR, I expect the three movies will each have their own "Flavor", and the flavor for TTT was 'Thrill Ride'. For FOTR it was 'Relationship Building' and I think the Flavor for ROTK will be 'Tearjerker'.

:whoohoo:

Yes dear Miruvor, I really am from Saudi Arabia

And I second what you said about the way every part has it's own flavor...the 3rd will definately be a "tearjerker" due to the fact that I cried after reading the ending and it kept me in a "sad" mood all day long, lol isn't it weird how these things affect us? And isn't it weirder that even though you finished the book, you'd still want to read more and more about the same thing? ;)

That's why I love the books so much. You can keep reading them, repeatedly, and still find new and different things. Also, once you move onto the Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales and even the Hobbit, there's ever MORE information, so you need to read LOTR again.......(do we sense a pattern here? lol )
And Miruvor- just a quick thank you- you are one of the few I've noticed in these threads that wasn't born in the 80's.

(Sorry bout the double post)
Did you also notice that the 2 films, along with their flavor, had their own color? FOTR is green and bright, from the opening in Hobbiton to the end on Parth Galen. TTT is grey. Helm's Deep, Osgiliath, all done in a grey scale. Of course, there are scenes in all shades in both movies, but the overwhelming feeling of each is green or grey. I'm guessing ROTK will be white in feeling- the new king, the new age, etc.

imdamom55 - That's too true, I've been around the block a few times.
About the coloring of the films, from the calendar pictures, it looks like the coloring may tend towards the red-brown spectrum, but it would be nice to see near the ending, a more crystal clear and bright color palatte.
It's a good thing Tolkien made the story 3 book-lengths. Coming to the end of it is like losing your job and not knowing what to do with yourself afterwards.

Maybe the movie will begin with the warm palette, and move to the clear, silver shades towards the end (especially the grey havens)

Well I didn't feel like being on a roller coaster. Just very hot, because I was excited. And yes, 3 hours without bathroom and having a big cup of CC. Lemon is a bit tough. I was squirming during the last one hour! lol

I always can't talk after going on a movie! I just get speechless. I can't wait to watch RotK!!! I wonder how I'll be feeling after watching it.
