No I don't love him, I don't have a problem with Arwen taking his role (that with which I do have a problem is Liv Tyler). I don't think PJ should have introduced another character, after all he has a huge audience that has never read the books, good way of introducing Arwen, more power to her, and no I am not at all resentful that there was no such character as Glorfindel.

I agree. I love Glorfindel of the Golden Flower! Loved him in LotR, and even more after reading the Silm, and I was absolutely crazy about him after reading The Lost Tales II. I read over and over again the part where he fought the Balrog alone. Though the Balrog was as twice as tall as him, he bravely stabbed it with a sword and then with a dirk. The Balrog was mean enough to grab his hair as he fell. :( How I love that part! :love:
