Problem with the image forums

Hey Illu/whoever deals with these things,

I'm having a problem submitting an image to the image forums. When I hit Submit, the top of the page has some garbage on it:

I also get this error message:

Database error! Please report to System Administrator.

I've tried submitting multiple times, all with the same results. Any idea what could be going on?

Database error you say? There was a similar problem experienced by forum members when trying to enter the forums about one or two days ago, but the database error's been resolved...

I can't check it right now, since I'm on a school computer and don't have the image with me!

Okay, well the database problem that we had earlier this week, that may or may not be related. I'll be taking these errors to the Photopost forum and will see what I can come up with.

Okay mate, I've opened up a trouble ticket with the Photopost tech support and have inlcuded all the information that you provided about the error. Thanks for that by the way! :thumbs:

They responded that my ticket will receive respnse from them within 24 hours.

I will stay on top of this and keep you posted!

Well, here's an update for ya! (if you would call it that! lol)

The support folks got back to me, and recommended that I repair the database, which I did. And you'll be happy to know that I was able to upload a photo without a problem.

However, for some reason the thumbnail image was not appearing. Soooo, there is an admin option to check for and repair any missing thumbnails, and now NONE of them are showing! pfbbt

I've opened another trouble ticket and hope to have this new issue resolved as well. verymad

Yeah, I'm sure we'll get it sorted out eventually. Thanks for trying to get it sorted out, at least!

Maybe you should make a news post on the front page explaining the situation with the image forums? It may also be wise to close them temporarily, or at least bar new image submissions.

Well Kenzie, at the moment, you can post comments on photos that are allready up. If you have subscribed then we have not processed your subscription yet as we have not received payment.

If you have not subscribed, then you will not be able to upload images as the Subsciber's Gallery is an exclusive benefit for subscribers only.

How do I go about uploading an image? When I go to Photo Forum, I try to log in and it says invalid?? Do I have a different password than what I use to log into WotR? Am I doing something wrong? Help!!

Have you registered for the photo forums? Even if you're subscribed you still have to register, cuz after registering, you're given a choice to input a screen name and password etc... which you'll use specifically in the photo-forums. Of course you're free to use back your password and name for the forums.

And after registering, you should PM Illuvatar too, to inform him, if you want your registration to be processed quickly.
