Mad Blab V - The Ultimate Mad Blab Marathon

Mad Blab's back, due to popular demand! I was going to put it back to some time in May or June, but you guys convinced me to do it earlier. ;) Still, I don't mind. As long as you are happy, the players, that's what counts :)

It's going to be a little different this time. Due to people missing rounds, I am going to make a set time when rounds will be posted. This is 5pm and 9pm GMT. In EST that is around 12pm and 4pm. If this is not OK for anyone, please tell me (that's why I posted this thread in advance). I can only post at convenient GMT times, so I had to base it around those. If I will not be able to make a round, due to going out, I will post here saying when the next round will take place. I would also like to say a big thanks to LadyAerowen for helping me with times. THANK YOU! :grin:

There are going to be 8 rounds this time, with two rounds posted each day. The rules, however, are the same:

I will post five statements which sound like nonsense. But when you read them out aloud, they will sound like phrases, famous people, places etc.

Post what you think the English phrase is. There will be 1 point for each correct phrase. You're not allowed edits!

The first, and only the first person who gets a statement correct will get the point.

There will be 40 phrases in total. You can answer a maximum of 2 phrases in each bunch of 5 and the person with the most points at the end will be the winner!

There is no limit to the number of people that can play. It's a free-for-all! I will keep track of the scores.

Here's an example if you're not sure what I mean.
For example, I post the phrase:
Weigh Cup Toothy Fax.
Which, when read aloud, should sound like:
Wake up to the facts!

I'll post the next round at 5pm GMT tomorrow (unless there are any problems).

There are going to be 8 rounds this time, with two rounds posted each day.

Two rounds posted each day? So..Satuday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday? That might not work now for most Americans; We're at school at 12pm and just barely getting back home at 4pm or if you do sports, you don't get home until like 8pm lol (or at least, around here..) A suggestion would be to post two rounds around each set time; Today, at 12pm EST, post Round One, and then when that one is over, Round Two right after it. And then break; and then at 4pm Rounds Three and Four, and then break until Sunday, and..repeat. Then again, this really is only revolving around me, so it seems *coughs and winks* But..maybe I'm being misled. And I mean, it wouldn't be like last minute because they would all gather at 12pm EST and then just stay a bit longer. Just..making a suggestion! *smiles, nods* :thumbs:

Sorry, incorrect. Here's a hint: the way the real phrase is written down is not the way it is pronounced...you have to pronounce it like the Mad Blab phrase.
