Here's a spot to notice "the little things" in TTT.
I saw TTT for the second time this weekend, but afer watching FOTR ump-teen times on DVD, I believe I noticed one of the Hobbit children to whom Bilbo told his "stone trolls" stories to at Helm's Deep! It's one of those bits where they're showing the families panicking over the possibility that the Uruk-Hai might be breaking through.
Anyone else notice this?

It's possible they used some of the same hobbit children as children of Rohan. I think I read or saw somewhere that many of the orc men were used as elves, and vice-versa and the casting people had to be really careful about limiting the "extras" to certain roles.

Those are the same children and are in fact Peter Jackson actual kids. Just a way to get them on the screen. I'm sure there is a thread going on about the little mistkes made in the film already. You may have to search back a bit.
Ahh, here it is.http://www.warofthering.net/forums/vbulletin225/upload/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2197

Those are Peter Jackson's children you noticed. According to PJ, his 2 kids are in all 3 films. In Hobbiton, the little girl had long brown curly hair, and the boy had curly dark hair. In HD< the little girl had long blond hair, and the boy had a hat. YOu may have also noticed Viggo's son, as one of the children being armed at Helms Deep. (The young boy with longish blond hair, sort of a page boy type 'do)

Peter Jackson of course makes a cameo, both in FOTR and TTT.

One of the things I love about both FotR and TTT is the small hints or innuendos from the book. When Arwen says in TTT, "Ae u-estelioach nad, estelio han, estelio ammen", (If you trust nothing else, trust this, trust us), there is a reference to one of Aragorn's elvish names-Estel, meaning hope (or trust). Just a little tidbit to enjoy.

Yep- and, during the big argument between Aragorn and Legolas, behind Aragorn are 2 men- Dan Hennah and Alan Lee, set designer and artist.

Really?! AHH!! I missed it! :( Now I'm going to have to wait till the movie comes out. Grrrr.
Wouldn't this be the second time Alan Lee was the movies? He was in FOTR during the prelude as one of the nine kings. *thinks* Yeah, I'm pretty sure.

I know about the man in Bree, though I didn't know about the picture. Wow... I wish I was that observant. *grins*
And the thing with PJ's kids.... they actually resemble him a bit too.

Emrenell- next time you watch the dvd, listen to the commentaries. They pretty much tell you when a cameo is coming up, or about little details like the pix over the fireplace.

OMG!!! :elfeek: (I really hate that acronym, but it works in this case) Viggo's son is in TTT!!!! :whoohoo: I've GOT to see this!!! Somewhere I read that he's the same age as me...hmmm...a mini-aragorn perhaps? lol Oh well, I don't think that's possible, but no matter, the good ol' familiar Aragorn is all I need!!:naughty:

OK StriderFan...I'm offically bummed now...I'm a little (by 1 year) older than Viggo.......and YOURE the age of Henry.....NOW I feel old. But I look at it this way (to paraphrase Treebeard) "That does not make sense to me...but then again, you are very young." You areas young as you feel, and this site has made me feel young indeed!!!!! Thanks lol
