Hiyas everybody. I was reading through a couple threads here and they interested me, so I decided to register. And...yeah, here I am!

So...I guess I'll tell ya about my LotR experience! When the FotR was going to come out I didn't know the slightest thing about LotR, but I did know about the Hobbit. Anyways, the FotR was very exciting! Then I started playing a lot of the new LotR games and stuff, and then saw TTT. After that I decided to read the books, so I'd at least be able to compare one movie to the book rather than compare the books to the movies, understand that or am I getting to confusing? Anyways, I read all the books, and I can't wait for RotK now!

Edit: I also forgot to add after reading TTT book the movie ****ed me off! The movie was great and all but...I know it's hard to make a book into a movie, but Peter Jackson seems like he didn't try to make them at all the same!

*TTT BOOK SPOILER* The whole banishing Eomer and leaving out Erkenbrand was rather upsetting. The Helms Deep battle was a lot different in the book too. I think it would have been cool to see the Dunlendings surrender, like they did in the book, and kind of like...not appear so evil anymore. Where as in the movie you'd expect them to still stir up some trouble still. And how they didn't show Shelob's lair in TTT movie. Though the Shelob's Lair thing I could understand because it was a three hour movie after all, and starting that would leave the audience in even more suspense then we are in now!*END TTT BOOK SPOILER*

I just hope he doesn't do the same with RotK.

Always good to see someone who got introduced to the books by the movie... and already bashing the movies... sweet hehe (:
I agree PJ went a bit too far with the changes in TTT... and as a whole I think FotR was a better movie... I hope RotK will be better....

Hiya! Hope you have lots of fun here.
In reply to your message about TTT book spoiler.
I give praise to PJ for even creating the movie at all.
Yeah the TTT movie doesn't follow the book to the "T", but there's so much pressure from the top. He does what he has to do and that means cutting back on scenes, but I have to give him lots of credit for including the edited scenes in the extended version. That's extra work he did for us. Thank you PJ!

p.s. We can look forward to Shelob in the ROTK.;)
