Well, it's been confirmed by Nintendo, Mario Kart is coming to the GameCube! The game will be called Mario Kart: Double Dash, and this time, two characters will ride each kart, making this a unique experience in a racing game!
But how does this work?
There will be lots more characters available in the game than in previous incarnations. New characters include Diddy Kong, Birdo, Waluigi and Baby Mario, as well as the old faves such as Mario, Yoshi and Bowser. The unique thing is about this game, you can pair any two characters up in a kart!
Each character has their own special weapon which you can launch from the back of the kart, and don't worry about missing out, because you can switch which character is driving at any point during the race, which makes for strategic play.

And will this game support internet play? Here's Nintendo's quote on this:
"Pack eight players into your living room and turn up the fun when you connect two Nintendo GameCubes via the Broadband adaptor. It's intense action coming soon to 2 screens very near you!"
Expect more details at the E3 show this month, along with lots more games across a whole range of consoles.
