Hi all! This is an awesome forum site! I am glad i finally found one that is not so strict and confusing and still fun! I have read TTT, RotK and the Silmarillion. I don't know why i haven't read the first one. I guess i might soon. I have many questions and i want to post them for once!

Hmm... War of the Ring eh? I don't know if it's related to 'The History of ME by Christopher Tolkien' There was a chapter regarding the war of the ring where Sauron was defeated. I don't know if Fatty and Illu had any other reason for naming this site War of the Ring.

the site was named War of the Ring since that was a possible title for The Lordof the Rings and indeed is one of the History's of Middle-earth. It was also one of the few Tolkien domain names left. Though we thought it might sounds a bit to violent. :-)

Win, I think Ohtarien may have been asking Nameless about where his name originatedlol, but in regards to War of the Ring, if you open the 1st book (FotR), and look at the 1st line of the prolouge, you'll see where we got ours;)
