I had the weirdest dream, and it was last night! For some reason, I was on a train, and i fell off. Then all of a sudden, there was Pippin and he was calling for merry. they were being feld captive with chains on their wrists being pulled by black riders across country. (You think its weird now? just wait) Then all of a sudden they escaped, and found Frodo lying in the earthy woods almost dead. (by the way, every once in a while I was one of them) Then we got on horses, put shoes on them and ran away from orcs........ But frodo looked awfully cute in my dream :loveyou:
Trust me I've had ones far weirder

I once had a really weird, really short dream. I was walking along the street where I live and all of a sudden a red sports car stopped next to me (probably to ask directions) and I looked up and saw that Sam (!!!) was driving it. It looked really weird, just try to imagine a hobbit in a red sports car (convertible too!).
And right then I noticed that Frodo was standing beside me, but the person beside me was my sister as well.. sister and Frodo in one.. urh.. weird. :elfeek: :o

PLEEEEEEESE PM me and explain all this...i could do with some humour... :( :elf:
I had a sequence of three dreams...if u don't believe me then ask bonos-girl...i turned up at school for three days COMPLETELY FREAKED OUT! Here goes...it's kinda hard to explain... :mmmm:
First night: I had a dream that legolas and i were on the fields of pelennor in the battle and he sacrificed his life to save me...died in my arms...as i cried (and woke up) i saw to my left about 30 metres away...the whole merry/(and who i THOUGHT was eowyn) nazgul thing...a bright white light emitting from...the blade...i suppose...
Second night: I dreamt i was lying in the mud with merry as the nazgul's creature loomed over us...i stood up and took out my sword which shone bright white and satbbed it into the beast's neck...i fell to the ground next to merry (and woke up)...and to my right in the distance i could see gondor...flames licking up to the clouds...
Third and final night: I was on the battlements of gondor with pippin...he had his armour on, but it shone more grey than silver...nothing much happened in this dream...other than gandalf came up the steps behind us...and i could see all the dreams i had had the previous nights...the dream went on for ages and i was woken by my alarm not by the dream.
And so, ladies and gentelman...welcome to my freaky subconcious! :o
It did scare me though...

I've had this recurring dream for ages, nothing to do with LotR, I was being chased by a lump of cheese. It was like a comic, with speeck bubbles. The cheese was saying GRR! and I was saying ARGH! The cheese had human legs and we just keep running, and the cheese never gains and there's nothing in the background except whiteness ... :snooze:
Oh, soz, I'm back! There was a LotR dream once where I could hear that music from the start of the movie when Gandalf id coming into Hobbiton (on the soundtrack CD it's called Concerning Hobbits). They was no pictures or anything, just music ... :snooze:

I always have dreams where people die. I always have dreams where I'm trapped, or I'm running and can't run fast enough. My dreams are always in some way connected with disaster. In just about all the dreams I've been having lately, I've been wanting things, and searching for things, but its all in vain and I end up with nothing but myself. Everyone says that there must be something in my life that's missing, but I don't realize it, and dont know it.The more i think about it, the more it makes more sense what they said..... Nonsense? or my subconcious trying to tell me something?
who knows.... but its really freaky :o
lol?
I've also been having almost 4-6 dreams a night too

Have any of you heard that story about dreaming you fall from high buildings?
Apparently, this is supposedly true, if you dream you're falling from something really high, say a skyscraper or aeroplane and you die when you hit the ground, you can actually die in real life! :elfeek: :elfeek: :elfeek:
Also, if you fall from a tall place, like a tree, you can wake up short of breath or in shock!
I fell off a curb once and woke up suddenly, but I was fine.
Just once more thing, I heard this on the radio ages ago, if you suddenly wake up for no apparent reason (no dreams or anything) it means there a lot of electrical energy in the brain and a sign of intelligence ...
:duh:

I'm constanly having re-occuring LOTR dreams. They're so interesting.
Just last night I dreamt I was on a journey through Mirkwood with Aragorn and Gandalf.
Aside from the sojourn itself, nothing much happened. Yet it was cool to dream anyway!
I enjoy dreaming about fighting grand battles alongside the allies of Middle Earth. :battle:
Two weeks ago, I had this dream where I'm fighting orcs in Mordor with the soldiers of Elves and Men at my side. It was kind of like the opening battle sequence in FOTR.
There are also slightly more peaceful dreams as well. I think it was a month ago that I dreamt I was talking with Elrond at Rivendell, and Galadriel and Arwen were present. It was pretty vague and didn't last long.
Another dream I had was after I saw TTT trailer. I was walking with Legolas and Eowyn at Helm's Deep, but nothing much else happened.
In either case, it was still cool.
Pleasant dreams, everyone! :snooze:

I've been having the same dream every night for 4 days - Frodo is being chased by a car down my street, when all of a sudden a wig falls off and his feet fall off and its Elijah Wood. He runs into my house and the car drives away. Too bad I always wake up before I could talk to 'em verymad
Sindarin
August 13th,2002, 06:10 AM
I also have these dreams where I'm falling. Actually, those are pretty cool.
I'm always free-falling quickly through the air and begin to slow down until stopping when I finally touch the ground. It's always at that moment when I wake up.
There are other dreams where I'm flying above the clouds, or I float aimlessly a hundered or so feet in the air. I like those dreams alot.
A! Elbereth
August 13th,2002, 06:11 AM
I have dreams where I can fly by running real fast and flapping my arms up and down.... :o :o :o ...

Sindarin
August 13th,2002, 06:37 AM
My dreamtime flying is almost always controlled by levitation.
Sometimes in those dreams, I start on the ground and slowly begin to rise into the air.
I then fly through some sort of sub-conscious control. I can't really explain it. It just happens.
I can allow myself to move in any direction I want, yet I don't really know how I do it.
Aren't dreams interesting?
A! Elbereth
August 13th,2002, 06:45 AM
Oh yes they are... its funny when you wake up from dreams, thinking they really happened. lol
Pil
August 14th,2002, 02:49 PM
Some of the best dreams are the ones in which little happens. I find that if i can tell my dream to slow down then i can rememeber the details much more esily when i wake up.
Has anyone else been keeping a dream log? I have for a few months...but before then i would write them down on random pieces of paper. Keep it with u always and u may be able to write down stuff u remember during the day too.
Invest in a good dream analysing book or visit a website that does this regularly and you can really find that it helps. Unlike horoscopes, dream analigy is specific to the individual...no-one else has ur dream...and where else better to discover urself than inside ur head? :elfqueen:

I vaugly remember having one with Legolas in it. He had to rescue me from something-or-other, and wasn't too pleased about it, as I recall. Ido remember waking up and thinking: "Aw, man! Now why couldn't that have turned out differently?"
My friend Tracy says that while she's dreaming, she usually realizes she's dreaming and can then control her dreams to have then go the way she wants them to go. Wish I could do that.:(

I had two LOTR dreams for two nights...one each night...
The first I remembered (and still do) pretty clearly...Aragorn, me and the Hobbits were in a forest...we could see Orcs coming up a road that split the forest in two. Aragorn and I were on one side then, Hobbits on the other. I wanted to run and get the four Hobbits, but Aragorn grabbed my hood and pointed out that there was a big ugly Orc watching the road. But then I went very quickly to the other side and collected the Hobbits...THe other half of that dream was something about me pointing out an Ent to my mother. Don't ask, I do not know.
Another dream I had involved Cate Blanechett either being murdered or commiting suicide...I blame the fact that I had just written about Lothlorien in my one, lone LOTR fanfic the previous day.
I think I had another LOTR dream, but can't remember it.

I find it's really wierd when the exterior world alters your dreams. For example, my mother, for some unknown reason, thinks that she can just walk into my room at 7 in the morning and carry on a conversation with me (plus I'm to remember what the conversation was about). Only thing is, I'm a really deep sleeper, and we'll carry on conversations, but I'M STILL DREAMING! Now, THAT is wierd!

I may hafta do that Pil...as for the outside world influencing your dreams...it's strange, but cool too. One time I dreamed I was in my family's van, and someone walking along the road opened the sliding door and heard it opening because it was my mom opening my bedroom door and I was waking. LOL

I had a scary dream just before I woke up this morning. I dreamt that some mad old man wanted to kill me and my sister. And I just knew that he would never give up, until he had killed us. And that I would never feel safe until he was dead. That even if he was put in prison, he would get out, somehow and come after us again. It was really scary.. and so real. I was shaking afterwards.
Has anyone had a similar dream?

I normally don't dream of LOTR, but I kinda did last night. It was really bizarre (as all dreams are, I guess). I was at this party and a lot of the stars from LOTR were there, including Orlando Bloom with his girlfriend (ya know the brown haired chick from Dawson's Creek? Her.) Well, in my dream, I was supposed to write the script for The Hobbit, and I was a little nurvous. Orlando, whatshername and I were all just chatting it up, waiting for Peter to arrive. Orlando was going to be in the film as well.
I woke up thinking. . .what the hell?!

No, in my DREAM she was his girlfriend. Ticked me off too. Why can't I dream where I'm his girlfriend.
Anyways, I must be thinking of LOTR a lot because I had two more dreams with either characters or actors.
On Wednesday, I dreamt that I was in this huge, empty castle at night and Aragorn rode up the stairs on his horse, and I had to help him with something. Bizzare. . .
And on Thursday, I dreamt that I was on the computer talking to Elijah with my online video camera.

y'know that thing about dying from dreams that ppl were talking bout round page 4 i think.....i reckon it's true coz sometimes if i have a dream where i cut myself on the finger for example, when i wake up i will have a small cut on my finger where there wasn't one before.......once i woke up and i had like 10 bleeding cuts on my finger...i was really scared....
does anyone like that thing were you feel like you're falling....not just dreaming....but like ACTUALLY falling......its sooo cool!!!`

This night was horrible for me. I went to sleep at mid-night, but I couldn't find any sleep at all. So at 1 am I went to the PC and spent some time surfing the web and chatting. At 2 am I went to bed again, but I only slept when it was past 2:30 am. And then I had this dream where I was at the beach and there was some gigantic waves comming in my way and I had to run for my life to not be caught in the waves.
:( I hate it when I dream with these giant waves. :(

At least I'm a very good swimmer. But the sight of those giant waves coming my way is frightening. You should learn how to swim.

my problem with it is that everyone is seen running anyway from the tidal wave!
earlier on in the movie they kindly point out that it moves at the speed of sound or there abouts. this means you see it and then ouch!
sorry catz I'll get back on the topic now!

Okay, since we're on the subject of dreams...
I think I sleep really deeply, or something, becuase I NEVER dream...EVER.But for the past few months, I'll just wake up sobbing, or screaming. I know I was dreaming, but I can never remember what!! Grr, it's really aggrivating!!
I wonder what that means... It means I sleep too deeply, and am an avid worrier, that's what!

oh no we discussed this in psychology. the strange dreams you have are when you're 'remming' (your eyes move - watch your pets they do it! really creepy) anyway thats near deep sleep.
something like that- this was a year ago!
this is why drunks hallucinate when they stop drinking. because they catch up on all the remming they've missed. I think you have to be a proper drunk over a period of time - not just one evening thank goodness because I'd be in trouble! not often though! lol

I love looking at people when they're sleeping...it's soooo humiliating! When you're asleep you have NO IDEA what you look like! lol I've seen some cute, balled up friends suck their thumb...and others thrash about wildly shouting 'go away!' and another started singing...oh the joys of sleep! lol

We went to a pier someplace, to have dinner, and all of a sudden that pier turned into a big castle.. and the ringwraiths came in!! :elfeek: And then Gandalf came, on Shadowfax, yelling something in some weird language and Russell turned into an Orc! :Orc:

I never sleepwalked but my father used to when I was a baby and it was scary let me tell you that..
It happened during the Olympic of 1976 in Montreal and my father kept watching it on tv all day long til late in the evening eating peanuts and nuts, etc. My parents had twin beds at that time and one night a weird noise awaked my mother... She looked around and saw my father on the bottom of his bed jumping, she asked what he was doing and at the same moment he lifted his arms up and dive on the desk where there was a big ventilator... He never woke up raised and went back to bed... my mother looked to see if he was ok and half of his face was scratched and bleeding :(
Scary isnt it ??? :o :o
Another one happened in the same period of time...My mother was sleeping and suddenly she woke up and my father was panicking in the room, she asked him what was wrong and my father cried out "Christine (which is my real name) is stucked under your mattress, Christine is stucked under your mattress" and then without any other word he lifted up the mattress throwing my mother against the wall and went back to his bed...
:snooze: :snooze: :elfeek:
After that happened my father stopped eating before going to bed and never sleepwalked again...:mmmm:
lol lol lol

I don't actually remember this myself, I'm not even sure it happened.. but the rest of my family remembers it. We were visiting my grandparents in a cabin when I was younger (I must have been about 10 or something). They have two small cabins, and me, my siblings (two brothers & a sister) and my dad were sleeping in one of the cabins. There were two double beds (you know with a second bed on top of the other) and I was on top in one of them. Well.. the next morning they told me that I had fallen out of my bed (a fall of about 2 metres or so) in the middle of the night.. they had all woke up from the noise and asked me what happened and if I was ok, and I had mumbled something about "oh.. I fell down" and then gone back into bed. The weird thing is that I don't remember anything at all about it. So I guess, either they were lying to me, or I did it all in my sleep. Very weird. :elfeek:

Aragorn's Hope
July 7th,2004, 02:13 AM
I keep having dreams where one of my friends die a rather untimely death. Okay I'll tell you:
We are playing in our Special olypics state games and well we are playing either my friend is shot or stabbed by a man or a group of men. I don't remember the killer/Killers face but either I go all berserk trying to save my friend, Try to keep my other friends safe by pulling them away from the danger, they pull me away, I stand or lay over my friend's body so she won't get hurt any more, I end up getting hurt saving her dying myself or I stand there numb and can't seem to move no matter what. And in my dream I do things like Aragorn, Boromir or Legolas do. Also I had a dream last night about finding the one ring in that dream I was Half Aragorn/ Half Boromir.
Can anybody help me finger these dreams out? :o
