Hey all, well barnesand nobles is starting pre-orders for TTT along w/ many other places. I work at a Blockbuster, and TTT is showing up in out system now which mean you can preorder it. For some reason Blockbuster went with the SRP (suggested retail price) which is an ourageous 29.99. I persoannlly think when it gets closer to time, it will be cut down, but last year blockbusters did a preorder deal w/ FOTR. If you paid 25 straight up, you got a 10 rental card along with a copy of the movie on dvd or vhs...wide or fullscreen. I don't know if they will be doing anything like that again, it is in the talks though. Don't be discouraged by the price b/c blockbusters do price matches now. So everyone be sure to stay at blockbuster :). My main question is how many people are on the run to pre-order this and how many of you did the blockbuster pre-order last year ???

i think i'm planning to pre-order... but won't the extended DVD have the same content as the one that is offered now? If that is the case, if theyr'e the same, i do not think i want to buy both versions...if there's an overlap of similar material in terms of the bonus stuff they give us....

oh WOW! it is SO worth preordering it on the Internet! if you want to save money!
Last year I preordered it on CD-WOW and got it a WHOLE week earlier than everyone else, in the US and the UK..... it was the Canadian R1 version, and for some reason there;s was released a week earlier!!!
this year, ive preordered it too... from www.cd-wow.com its costing £14.99 (no P&P)
Play.com are doing preorders too, at £17.99 (no P&P)
compare that to £29.99 and what amazon etc are charging, and not only could you get the DVD earlier than planned, but also save yourself 10 quid!

i preordered it, but is it really necessary though? i was under the impression that if i didn't preorder it, i wouldn't have a copy of it when it comes out... it's going to be mailed to me so I will probably get it later than August 26th :mmmm:
should i just buy it from the store, or is it really better preordering?

I'm going to pre-order the Extended DVD edition as soon as it becomes available.
Last year I had a hard time finding a store that could keep the extended edition in stock, but the theater version was easy to find.
I ended up ordering it on line anyway.
Remeber folks that the theatrical version comes out in August,
but the extended version comes out in November.
Make sure you're buying the one you want, or you may end up buying it twice.
The August release won't have the extended parts. The November's movie will. Of course both will have the same Special Features.
I sure hope that everyone already knows this.;)
