LOTR: The last alliance discussion thread

This is the discussion thread discussed for my RPG story(see the thread 'An idea'). This is pretty much the alternate ending of ROTK....what if Sauron toke back his fabled ring of power. It's what would happen if Frodo failed at the cracks of doom. This is the story.

NAME: Morwen Naereth (“Dark Lady” “Elven Disgrace”)
GENDER: Female
RACE: Elf
PARENTS: Elrond and Celebrían (she is NOT Arwen)
AGE: 3,350 years (end of third age). Born on September 1st.
EYES: black, with the occasional hint of their former blue
HAIR: black
CLOTHING: black leather suit, black Dwarf-skin cape, black Hobbit-hide boots
PERSONALITY: does not willingly let anyone know what affects her, is always “in hiding” over some aspect of her personality/past. Cool, frightening, malicious, sarcastic… quick to anger.
WEAPONS: One Curved Long Sword made for her husband (blade – 30”) Two daggers (blades: 16", 18") Twin long swords (thin, 16” wooden hilts, with 16” samurai-type blades) One Long Bow & Arrows. (All Noldorin, unless specifically noted, and all were made for a male) One 24’ Man-hair whip, and fourteen Orcish throwing knives
SKILL WITH SAID WEAPONS: Lethal
SKIN COLOR: extremely fair complexion
BODY BUILD: Average height, slim, and muscular...
SCARS: One, down the left/middle of her back where she was stabbed by an orc during the Battle of the Last Alliance, another across her face from when she was slapped by the Hand of Sauron (the Ring burned her), many more smaller scars all over her body.
JEWELRY: An intricate bracelet that incorporates an opal at the back of her hand. The opal glows when she has strong emotions or is using her magic. She also wears a crown that is made of adamant woven into a triangular pattern fitting tightly onto the back of her head.
BIOGRAPHY: Morwen has not always been evil. She is a Queen of the Western Elves, and was bonded to Gil-galad Ereinion. Before WoTR, she took up her crown, and betrayed the Elves to return to evil. She has killed countless Hobbits, Men, and Dwarves since WoTR, but refuses to harm an Elf. Morwen has bled for her beliefs.
MAGICAL ABILITIES: very powerful, equal to Gandalf the White in her prime. Even Morwen does not like to delve too deep into her potential. She was given powers over the orcs, and many from Sauron himself… there is a rumor she got most of her magic from Manwë when she was born good.
SIDE: bad, though she has her good streaks.
RANK: known throughout Sauron’s forces (and to him) as the “Lady of Sauron,” Morwen is opposed to that title, and refuses the multiple advances of The Dark King. She is second in command to Sauron alone.

Now remember all, SAURON has the one rng now in his possesion. The witchking is the new "black steward" of that city......

oh, and if you read my latest post Josh and Yamoni are moving towards Lothlorien. Lorien is a big part of this story, it's the last free city.......

age: around 1513. Exact birthdate unknown. found as a baby in the river Loudwater on Mid-summer's eve.
race: eldar. exact kind unknown. some have told her she was of the dark eldar.
description: 5'7" with pin-straight black hair (worn high-elf fashion) and dark green eyes. light build.
clothing: white elven tunic with a black over tunic. black leggings and boots, black belt with silver buckle in shape of wings.
weapons: ebony and silver galadhrim bow with quiver. elven short sword, 2 daggers of the numenors, and pair of black leather gauntlets.
personality: quiet. speaks only when desires.
bio: foster daughter of elrond and celebrian. found in the river loudwater as a babe on mid-summer's eve. skilled in herblore, tracking, swordsmanship, and archery. torn between two loves, haldir and legolas. always smells like jasmine.

I think I've decided which of my 60 bazillion characters to use in this one, though I may come up with more later.

Name: Uinen, named for a maia of Ulmo, the spouse of Osse
Race: Human (woman)
Bio: Enslaved for a short period of time at the first seige of the city. Her mother disappeared along with her siblings, and her father was killed at the last stand of the Captains of the West. She escaped quickly, knowing the ways of the city and made her way to the outer wall. POOF- she disappeared. Angry and determined to be a part of the force, however small, that regains the captial of Gondor.

Appearance: Tall, strong. She's a working gal, not of overly rich background, the type that gets her hands dirty. Thick blonde curly hair, bright blue eyes, the color of the sea. Ruddy colored yet smooth skin and a beautiful warm smile, that rarely shows itself these days. Not much of a girly girl, was rugged in days of peace and has become even more so, wandering the outer walls of the city, alone and friendless, looking for others who've escaped.

CLOTHES: Left the dresses behind- leather pants, white shirt, leather armor of Gondorwith the white tree across her chest, black hooded cloak over all.

WEAPONS: Long sword that had belonged to her father, a guard of the Steward. Upon escaping, found her old home and took up his raiment and his occupation, sort of, before leaving the city. Also owns two short daggers. Has some skill with them that has been slow to develop as before, she never had any use for it. In the wild, however, it has come along nicely, and where skill is lacking, ferocity and bravery suffice.

SCARS: slice across her stomach where she was injured by an orc, healed by Morwen (Authwen)
BIOGRAPHY: an orphan, friend of Authwen (now Morwen), she will never give up trying to fight for her life, and that of others

Keep Legolas in the story. It's good to have a few old war of the ring characters in. Maybe tell a story of how Legolas escaped from the black gate

Race: Elven
Age: Unknown; estimated at 1,500
Eyes: Gray
Hair: Silver; Ends at his shoulders
Clothing: The garb of a Border Guard of Lórien; similar to Haldir's
Personality: Reserved and silent; Feldor usually keeps to himself
Weapons: Lórien Bow; three daggers and one sword, all gifts from Galadriel
Skills with said weapons: Deadly
Skin Color: Tan
Body Build: Lithe, athletic. Similar to Legolas’
Scars: Feldor's skin is smooth.
Biography: Feldor was found wondering in the wilds outside of Imladris. Elrond took him in for a year and then Galadriel and Celeborn brought Feldor to Lórien.

Well, see, I wanna keep an eye on Authwen mostly out of sheer resentment and malice. Basically I hate her guts for killing my family, and I'm trying to be al 'dutiful' by making sure she doesn't do it again, or something like that.

Well, let's see..it's all so fuzzy...lol

My father was with the Captains of the West at the last stand before the Black Gate...he died there. And my family I'm thinkin' was killed in one of the initial raids on the city (Minas Tirith, that is.) We were trying to escape and they were killed but I was captured. Perhaps it wasn't you exactly, but I attribute it all to you just because you're sorta top dog since the Witch King took over. Or maybe my mother died trying to escape, and my brother and I were captured, and one day you got a little angry with him and through him into a wall or something and that was his end...I dunno, whatever would give yuou more to work with.

Brother's name: Eargil. Father's name: Earram. Mother's name: Silawen

Skin color: Lightly tanned
Body Build: Average height, slim, and muscular...
Biography: Third child (of four) of Elrond and Celebrían who always preferred to roam Middle Earth to staying in Rivendell and sewing. Morwen is known as “Sauron’s Mistress.”
Magical Abilities: very powerful, equal to Gandalf the White in her prime. Given special powers by Sauron… we won’t go there.

There's a PART 1 and PART 2. Part 1 opens with everyone scatters and then a giant epic battle at Lothlorien.

PART 2 a fellowship of the main characters is formed and they go to Mordor to achieve a most impossible quest....to STEAL the ring from Sauron and destroy it.

Figured out a new character I'd like to add to the story.

Name: Luinil
Race: Moriquendi
Age: Pretty friggin old
Appearance: Dark. Travelling garb. Lots of tight black leather (ooooh sexy! lol) Long, straight, thick black hair. Stunningly bright blue ahem "lamplike" eyes, very pale, almost white skin, sorta pouty lips. Tall (around 6'2") and lithe. Very elvish (duh! ;) ) think along the lines of Eol.

Personality: Independent (a quality which all of my characters seem to possess in abundance lol), thoughtful, peaceful (as opposed to violent) at heart but with a restless spirit. A fair singer. Wisdom that comes with travel and age..sorta Ranger-ish, now that i think about it.

Scars/marks- ah ha...TATTOOS! Picked them up "in the South." Lacy tribal designs...black bands around her biceps, neck, and ankles. Cluster or orchids and nightshade on back between shoulder blades, surrounded by seven stars. I'll explain later.
Long scar under left ribs from a knife fight when she was young.

Story: Just a wanderer. Being a dark elf, she has never taken a lot of interest in the wars of the Noldor or of men. In fact, she rather distrusts everyone (and like Eol, seems to prefer the company of dwarves), and is rather used to living alone. She's been all over ME, but has taken to dwelling in Southern Ithilien.

Weapons: Mirkwood bow and arrows, two long elaborate hunting knives. Can hit a sparrow at fifty yards with the bow and has made a graceful but deadly art of knife-fighting, having stumbled on more than a few bands of orcs on her own.

Her presense in the story is to start a resistance around the outside of the city (though I haven't figured out exactly how just yet). Basically she just gets mad at the orcs and whatnot taking over her "land." I'm thinkin' she's gonna get caught in some trouble and sort of function as a spy, later on starting plans to assail the tower and oust that jerk of a dark king. But can she do it alone?...


So, now all I gotta do is write an IC post and I'm in business.

PERSONALITY: unlike other hobbits, he doesnt find socializing fun he never fit in with his fellow hobbits. He worries alot over small things and is unusually quiet at times.
WEAPONS: a small butter knife he picked up at an inn
SKILL WITH SAID WEAPONS: hes fast and if he had to could stab a person in a place there least expecting it...usually the places he can reach ankles and such
SKIN COLOR: pale white..sunburnt cheeks almost all year round
BODY BUILD: small and scrawney
SCARS: One on his stomach just below his ribs on the right side from a nasty scrape he found himself in
JEWELRY: none
BIOGRAPHY: A withdrawn young lad he was left an orphan. Dora Baggins whom never married took him in. Her happiness of finally having a child soon vanished when she fell ill and died when Togo was still a baby. The kind Widow Pearl Took, who lived on her own in Far Downs, adopted Togo. She knew at once that Togo was different, not social like the other hobbits and much to worried about foolish things a hobbit shouldn’t have to worry about. Togo left home when he was 22 (quite young for his people) changing his name to Bleecker and hiding behind the tragedy of his "parents death." More than anything he wishes to be normal...but above even that, to stay out of trouble.
MAGICKAL ABILITIES: None though he has a nonmagical ability to get in trouble

Hey Ithil, regarding Luinil's last post, you don't have to, like, respond or anything. I just threw your name(s) in there to add some familiarity to the post, so I hope you don't mind! :) Maybe I'll meet up with you guys in part 2. ;)

Hey all Wazzup? last post is long, but I think it's good! Luinil's getting into sooooo much trouble! He he he...I decided to throw one of my other RP characters in there. Dawn, I'm sure you'll recognize her. Her name is Mornie and I put her in there because Luinil requires a much more formidable opponent than just a bunch of orcs. Mornie will not be a constant presense in the story (unless someone would like differently- don't get me wrong I'd love to antagonize you all! :flamer: *evil laughter ensues*...) though I may throw her in on a very rare occasion. Here's her profile, just in case anyone was wondering.

Without further ado, the profile for Mornie.

(Polite applause, polite applause, lights die down, curtain raises, ACTION! :rolleyes: lol)

Name: Mornie
Race: human
Weapons: two long elvish knives and a sword of Gondorian origins(was found with them and for some reason, unknown to even her, would not be parted with them). Innate skill with both, and further trained in Sauron's army
History: None. Mad case of amnesia and was duped years ago into Sauron's service, as implied above.
Characteristics/Features: Tall, dark. Near black, short wild hair and piercingly bright green eyes. Not very feminine, for she was brought into Sauron's service as a warrior, not a woman. She wears leather pants and tunic, over which a short mail shrit and over all a long black cloak. Fair skinned and strong. Because of her build, her hair and her attire, she is often taken for a man until her face is shown. To the knowledgable, her features are actually descendant of the house of Beor. She is quiet, cunning and merciless, speaking few words and communicating more with action. She has become a trusted spy and servant of the dark army, about the rank of Liutenant, and perhaps could be acting as an emissary or an agent for him.

More clarification on the way:

In the last post where I was talking about being watched, i wasn't thinking of Feldor. I mean that there is someone watching this conversation and literally putting words into my mouth. Hey, I'm only human, right? So if the last bit about Uinen and Authwen walking together seems a trifle out of character, it is, and for a reason. Just let it slide. My writing sucks, what can i say? lol

EW, more clarification: this is a genuine offer to further understand you and possibly (GASP) be your friend. Like I said, out of character and for a reason; there is an outside force at work here, people! lol. Uinen is way too young and prideful and rash to suggest something that noble on her own. It's not a ploy or a deception. I think it's rather poetic, actually: Authwen and Uinen slowly becoming friends. An ages old elf full of wisdom and lore hooking up with a brash young mortal. After your last post, (which was very good, actually :) ) the ironic similarities between the two characters became apparent to me. I think it would be good for Uinen to better understand the person who more or less is responsible for the death of her family in order that she may grow as a person and a character and in time, be free of the hate that consunes her. They could learn a lot from eachother. Perhaps Uinen could help Authwen recapture some of that faded innocense or something, ya know?
