I was wondering if it's subscribing to threads that causes me to get all the email notifications? My mailbox is getting flooded with them now. Is there any way I can stay subscribed to the threads...easier to check from my cp, or do I have to unsubscribe to avoid the notifications?

Well, it appears that you have "Use Automatic Notification by default" checked yes in your options.
This will cause you to automatically recieve an email notification from any thread that you post in. With this on, your are automatically subscribed to the threads you post in, and anytime there's a new post by anybody you'll get an email.
The easiest thing to do is to set this option to No, and then in your user panel you will also see the complete list of every thread and forum that you are currently subscribed to. Unsubscribe either from all of them or just from the ones that you do not want to be notified about anymore.... that will stop the emails.
Of course you can from that point subscribe to individual threads if you like, just bear in mind that you will receive emails for every post in every thread that you subscribe to.
Hope this helps.

Ok, so there's no way to be subscribed to the threads and have them listed in my User panel without getting the email notifications?
:( Then I'll have to succumb to the email notifications because I won't remember to check all the threads I've posted in otherwise.

well no......there is in fact another option and thats to unsubscribe and check which threads you contributed to by clicking on your name in the members list, then clicking "show all posts by this user".......that will then show you all the threads you have contributed to.........ofc it WILL show ALL of them, but theyre dated, so its easy enough to work out which ones are current

Oh, ok thanks Catz. I believe I'll just stay subscribed and delete all the emails when I get on. Maybe that'll work for now.
